I was skeptical about this particular hand held shower because the price was so low. My reservations were unfounded as this is a great Waterpik. I had a stationary shower massage head by Waterpik and needed to switch to hand held because I am now finding hard to clean the tub, and this fixed that problem. It was easy... very easy.. to install, and it didn't even need pipe tape. Once I had all the fitting tight, it had no leaks. The water pressure, which others had a problem with, was not an issue for me and I did not take out the flow regulator of filter! Pressure is great on all settings and I had no problem rinsing my thick hair! I only just installed it yesterday so I don't know how well it will hold up over time as some of the parts are plastic, and my old one was not. At $18.50 I'm not all that concerned with longevity as it would be cheap enough to replace in a couple of years if need be. Great value and I just want to say don't spend money on a really expensive one, this works great!

(UPDATE: The price went up to $20 from $16 when I ordered this a week ago. Wow, I really got a great price)I had a shower massager that was almost 30 years old until it finally stopped pulsating/massaging (I actually inherrited it).. I got the the cheapest one (approx. $16) with Prime and IT WORKS PERFECT, JUST LIKE THE OLD ONE. It does not feel like its made of ":cheap, lightweight plastic" or has a "cheesy" feel to it. Its EXACTLY like the older one I replaced; and the faux crome finish looks fantastic. More importantly, I was able to still use my older (and much longer!) hose and attachment, so all I had to do is unscrew the old one from the hose and put on this new one. Done in 30 seconds. The water pressure is just the same, strong, as my existing attachment holder did not have a water restrictor; and this new hand held massager fits perfectly into it. They haven't changed a thing about the design. DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY NEGATIVE COMPLAINTS. THIS "NEWER" WATER MASSAGER IS EXACTLY LIKE THE OLDER ONE, just made with a with BETTER more resiliant type plastic that is slightly lighter. Its still the one of the best deals on Amazon at this low price, as its the "Original WaterPik Shower Massager" that has been around for almost 40 years.

...why did I wait so long to get one? I always had this idea that these were either expensive or difficult to install, or a nightmarish combination of both. BUT THIS SHOWER HEAD WAS PERFECT. The price was right, the installation was easy (and awesome when my fiancé tightened it too far, resulting in an unexpected preview of showertime) and we love it.BEWARE: when you tighten the flow control to the shower pipe, don't turn the flow control too tight, or it will backfire. It does say in the instructions that you should leave it a little loose. Yes, there are instructions.FUNCTIONAL COMMENTS: I like two of the settings, but the other two I can live without. The concentrated massaging spray is awesome for washing thick hair. No shower head ever seems to be able to beat through the thickness of my hair, and I wind up twisting my hair all over the place to make sure there is no more soap in it, and then it's all tangled. This alleviates that whole situation. The umbrella spray (that's what I call it) is the other good one, but only for the pressure; there is a big gap in the center, where no water comes out...hence the name umbrella (because the water only comes out of the perimeter, as if it were pouring off an umbrella....get it?) The other two settings are (1) a weak, nearly-dripping slow setting, and (2) a combination of the drip setting and the umbrella spray.OVERALL REVIEW: I like the shower head. It's great for cleaning the shower, washing/coloring someone else's hair over the side of the tub, and for keeping the concentration on/off a certain area.WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND, but it would be a lot nicer if it had a few other settings.

I MUCH PREFER THE ORIGINAL VERSION.

Easy to install and can be adjusted up/down or side to side. Good value for the money.

It must have one of those restrictors in it because it doesn't have a strong stream like the old ones used to. Took forever to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. It was packed up and sent back.

I bought a different shower head and it was terrible but replaced it with a water pic hand held.
