4 years working! Very well constructed LED flag pole light, works well and simple to instal.
This item works really well, I would like to make you aware of a reality though. During the Pittsburgh Pa long dark winter nights and short overcast days, the photosensitive charging panels simply do not have enough time to properly charge the batteries enough to last all night. Remember, it is light out for maybe 8 hours, and this simply is not enough time. For a couple months, those deepest and darkest winter months, your going to have to accept that the LED lights will die in the morning before the sun rises. Okay, we got past that....Now the product itself is built very well, the plastic housing feels very sturdy in your hands and is not something that feels thin and weak. I would honestly think that I could place it on my concrete walkway and step up onto it with no damage. During 9-10 months of the year, the light is provided all night long and still burning brightly in the morning when I leave for work at 0515. I have an American flag on top of my pole followed by a USMC flag. The USA flag is always well lit and easily discernible, the USMC flag catches patches of light as it passes the USA flag. I would like to actually see the design modified to allow a second row of LED bulbs out another 8-12 inches from the first circle of LED bulbs. This would help wash light over the second flag and offer more even distribution down the flag pole.Pros:Well builtLasts all night long most of the year.Provides good lighting for the top flag.Visually appealing design and constructionInstalls simply by unscrewing the top pole ornament and screwing the threaded rod back into the pole with the light sandwiched between the pole and the ornamental top.Cons:A couple months per year in the north-east winters it will not make it all night.Does not cast light down to a second flag as well as one would hope.Update Nov 29 2019This was purchased December 3, 2015 and I'm just now thinking that it's about time to replace it. I pulled it down yesterday and see that the solar panel plastic covering areas are severely damaged from UV exposure as well as craze cracking / shattering of the same material over the actual solar panels. It's 4 years later and this thing still works! It looks like it's been through a warm, it's got the original batteries that it shipped with.... And at 5am this morning I looked outside and it was still lighting old glory. If that's not a testament to quality, I don't know what else I could offer you.I'll likely order a new of the same unit since it doesn't appear that anyone has taken my advice and made one with 2 rings of lights to cast more light down onto a 2 flag setup. I'm telling you bud.... You can't go wrong with this flag pole light! It's a keeper!

Great Light (UPDATED 2018)
(Gave 4 stars)Nice and bright.I have not had any issues with mine, even in a hard rain.I do wish it had a wider light beam, but illuminates very well.***UPDATE***(Earned it's extra star)My last review of this light was short and to the point, now it is an all-out salute to this little device.I don’t give five star reviews that often (you must really be best-of-the-best), but this little gem has earned one.I initially bought one of these for the flag displayed in my yard, I have since moved to the next town over and did not take the pole or the light with me. I finally bought a home in an area where I could put up another flagpole and did so (bigger pole, bigger flag, the whole nine this time). I initially went with another brand of light, thinking "It is brighter and had decent review" so I put that one atop the pole. After a couple of months with the new light not lasting all night and fighting with different types og light to supplement the new "UFO" not going the distance, I decided to go with one I had tried before. I initially installed this light in the early afternoon, giving it only a half day to charge so my initial hopes were not high for the first night. As expected, when it got dark the light came on as it should (no real surprise there.) Much to my surprise however, when I got up the next morning (before sunrise) to get ready for work, the light was still on and not much dimmer than when it had turned on that night. This was especially surprising seeing the nights are getting longer the closer winter comes. This has been, by far, the best flagpole light I have ever used and, now that I have used two of them, I would recommend it to anyone. If in the event I ever need another one, I will be looking here again.FYI, when I drove by the place I used to live (It is not creepy or anything, I still hang out with friends in the old neighborhood), the old light, that I bought 3 years ago, is still sitting atop the old pole and still comes on at dark. Can't attest to if it stays on all night though as I don’t drive by my old house at all hours of the night (that WOULD be creepy).

Exellent flagpole light - recommend
I have used this daily for 6 years and it still lights as well as the first day. I have had no issues with this, it sets in the New Mexico sun at 5000 ft elevation all day every day and hasn't degraded yet. It puts out an appropriate level of light, not so bright as to interfere with star gazing but just enough to illuminate the flag.

Extremely easy to install and works well
Bought this solar power light for my father's flagpole based on other reviews. It seems to be doing well, although I wish it was a little brighter. The photo makes it appear very bright, but it isn't as bright as that. It does light the flag reasonably well, but not quite like I thought it would. Nevertheless, he is very happy with it. He had thought about using the kind that attaches below the flag and shine upwards, but this one serves much better because it lights the flag no matter which way the wind is blowing. The solar cells seem to charge the battery completely and the light shine all night long, even after several overcast, gloomy days.
