Bought it to get on the roof of a shed to access solar panels. It is stable enough and well built. This type of ladder can injure hands on takedown if you're careless. It is versatile but it is stainless and heavy to haul. It is well priced and takes very little space to store.

i love this ladder, once you extend it push out the feet from the center and it gets super sturdy, if you don't push them from the center out before climbing it, it feels flimsy but if you push them out its rock solid!

Ladder is fine, difficult to extend and retract. Very easy to pinch fingers.

Buyer beware, this is a completely UNSAFE ladder that does not function as advertised. They make it seem like it would be easy to use, don't be fooled, it is not. Not only that, but the ladder is extremmely unsteady when extended and a 145 lb person was on it. It randomly releases a step, so if you are on it then it can 'snap' out and you will fall about 5" or more. Definitely scary and it happened multiple times. When using the ladder in the A frame possition, it slides around so that if you pick it up it will attempt to extend and you will end up with a non functioning ladder that needs to be snapped back in. When fully closing the ladder it also becomes EXTREMELY UNSAFE, I read the reviews and was careful about the speed it falls and ability of the ladder to crush fingers, but it still managed to get me and I nearly lost a finger nail and my finger swelled up, a lot.Not only is this ladder a terrible and unsafe design, but the seller is just as bad. When I expressed my concerns about the safety as the reason I wanted to return it, they wanted me to pay $50 return shipping and demanded a video as proof. As you can understand, I am going nowhere near that ladder again unless I want to lose a finger for real, so why in the world would I be asked to record a video of it being unsafe? Beats me.In conclusion, do not buy this, buy a foldable/ expanding ladder or a telescopic ladder from somewhere else.

Bought as a gift for my son. He loved it and needed it right away to get up on his one story house's roof.

It takes much effort to get it adjusted to the position you want and if you use it as a 6-8 foot step ladder you must be very careful as it isn't very stable and can wobble enough to scare you into thinking it will tip. There should be a stabilizer on both sides of the feet I think that may help considerably.
