This item offers no protection apart from covering the screen. It feels like it is made of cardboard with cheap plastic glued on one side and cheaper fake leather on the other. The case does not work to prop the tablet up and open as shown. It will hold for less than a minute and then collapse. Every time. Save your money and get a better quality case.

The sleep mode goes into sleep when the cover is placed behind the tablet, a normal use position. Within a few weeks, the plastic retainers on the left upper and lower sides will crack and eventually render the cover useless as the tablet will no longer stay attached to the case. Don't buy this case.

My wife ordered this case for me. I received it and it installed fairly easily just slide in and press down to clip in. It is very light weight as advertised. The quality seemed okay at first. I use my tablet and case a lot but take great caution with it, not slamming the lid shut or exerting great pressure on the case. After only having it a few days I noticed that the top left edge was starting to fray and a chunk of plastic just broke off and then broke into two smaller pieces. I was okay with this since it still held. Then a day later I was using my tablet and placed it on my couch to get something. I didn't throw or roughly handle the tablet with case in anyways. I simply laid it on the couch cushion and got up. When I picked it up when I came back I noticed a black piece of plastic laying there. The thin side on the top right that has the opening for the S pen completely fell off. Having my wife return this as defective. It's a cheaply priced option but you are getting what you pay for. Cannot recommend due to poor quality.
