The most enjoyable $25 I've ever spent...
I am very new to birdwatching, so I was looking for a way to bring a variety of birds closer to my house. I read a bunch of the reviews for this particular window feeder, and they were consistently positive enough that I figured this was a good brand to try. Everyone was absolutely right.I was initially skeptical if I would have the same great experience that others have had, only because my yard doesn't have a ton of trees in close proximity to the house, and the only window that was available for me to use was my own bedroom window, which is a bit tucked away in a very inconspicuous location. We just had our house painted and landscaping fixed up, so with a "fresh" looking house, my mom didn't want me putting feeders all over our front windows. I really didn't think that any birds would be able to even find it, and if they did, I wasn't sure if they'd be comfortable using it due to the lack of close trees/shrubs for them to take cover in the event of a predator. I'm so glad I was wrong.I followed the instructions (very clear & easy to follow, + quality packaging) and hung the feeder on July 3. I was started to get a tiny bit discouraged because so many of the reviews said they had birds within a day or 2. Just have patience. I promise. Well, on day 5 (July 8) I had my first visitors...a family of House Finches! The joy that it brought me when I was finally able to see the first few birds up close was glorious & definitely worth the few days I had to wait!By the next morning, apparently, word on the street got out & I had a steady stream of visitors. I now regularly have the House Finches, like 3-4 different kinds of Sparrows, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Mourning Doves, Starlings, Tufted Titmouse, a Juvenile Cowbird, & a Red-Bellied Woodpecker. I am convinced if I had more trees or lived a bit closer to the woods on the edge of my neighborhood I would have even more species. I regularly see Chickadees & American Goldfinch flying around my neighborhood too, but it doesn't seem they've discovered my feeder yet for some reason. It's so fun to see certain families come by every day...I don't even get to be at home watching my feeder very often and I can still tell (usually) which bird is which by now. You really do get to "know" them after a little while. I love when a couple comes by & you can tell that they are together and eventually they start to bring their little fledglings. The Northern Cardinal families are the most enjoyable for me.So, some facts about the actual feeder itself: VERY sturdy. I am actually amazed at the strength of this thing. There have been 7-8 birds all trying to sit on it at once on multiple occasions and it never even seems to budge. It's been hanging for about a month and a half now & I've taken it down multiple times to clean & refill it and not once have the suction cups seemed loose when I checked them before hanging it back up. The perch on the front side is nice and the birds seem to fight for a spot on it, LOL. Some of the braver ones will even sit on the plastic roof while waiting for their turn, but they do seem to slide around a bit up there with those little dinosaur bird feet. The size of the food cups is great and I like that you can feed 2 types of food at once to draw a greater variety. In my picture, I currently have it filled with Nyjer seed only to try and discourage the Sparrows from always overtaking the House Finches because I noticed that my little Finches were starting to get bullied. It seems to be working (I have another feeder closer to the ground on my patio for the Sparrows and other species that want sunflower seeds & peanuts). The overall functionality of this feeder is great. It has drainage holes, is very easy to slide the drawer out to clean or even take the whole unit down off of the suction cups, and the roof does a great job of keeping the food dry. We've had a few major storms and the food has never gotten wet when I've checked on it. Some people mention that the squirrels are a problem, but my window is up high enough and there isn't any furniture or ledges below that a squirrel could use to launch itself up onto the feeder, so that hasn't been an issue for me.If there was one critique I could make or even just a suggestion for future design ideas, it would be that I'd love for it to have some additional perches or standing space coming out from the sides somehow. My backyard birds seem to be pretty polite about waiting their turn, but there isn't really anywhere in my backyard for them to perch while they wait, so I end up having a line 10 birds deep along my roof. I don't mind it at all..it's actually quite comical to watch; I just get concerned for their safety being that exposed! I think if there were 1 or 2 sturdy perches that could somehow come out of each side, that would create some additional standing room. That is a small detail though and is definitely not a deal-breaker for me.Lastly, I apologize for this lengthy review! This is my first Amazon review and I am absolutely in LOVE with this product. I've already been thinking about buying a few more units just to give the birds even more options. I don't have enough windows right now though and I need to slow down on buying bird food. These little ones can eat and I've been spending way too much $ on them lately. All in all, if you are on the fence about this feeder, I hope my review helps. It's been a joy for me to have and sometimes on a bad day, when I look out my window and see that I have some visitors, it just brings a familiar comfort that I can't explain...and that makes my day just a little bit better. I know there are a lot of products similar to this out there, and I can't speak for any of those, but I can tell you this one is high-quality and I'm really glad I went with it after looking at 3-4 others. 10/10 recommend! Thank you for coming to my TED talk. Happy Birding!Extra tip: I have found that if you approach the feeder straight on, the birds can see you pretty easily and will fly away. However, when I approach it from a diagonal angle, they don't seem to notice me and I can get really close to be able to watch them and see all of their beautiful colors and details. So, if you are able to, try to put it somewhere that will allow you to approach from the side so as not to scare them off.

Perfect Window Feeder
I love this window feeder! It’s a solid, extremely well made feeder. I did my homework and checked out many feeders. The removable food tray makes refilling and cleaning it so simple. The suction cups are heavy and it even came with four extras. I had another feeder that fell off the window constantly, this one does not budge. I highly recommend it.

Birds Galore!
The birds are coming and feeding regularly, this window kit is well made. Make sure you moisten the suction cups and press firmly, has been up for 5 months. Cleaning is easy. Loved the extra suction cups.

So far, no birds.
Tough to review this. It's sturdy, good suction, looks fairly invisible on a window (could be the problem), and all that about its manufacturing. But, so far, not one bird has come to it after a month or so. I'm not sure they can see it, or land on it. Ours is on a 2nd floor window on a condo window. Totally in the open. Perhaps if there was a tree branch close by the window it might work better? Also...if they're actually there eating, their droppings would fall on the outside bottom of the window sill. Definitely hard to clean.

The media could not be loaded. This is the second one of these I have purchased this year. Sturdy, stays put and the birds love it. Easy to refill and simple to keep clean. Keeps their food dry too, even in a snow storm.

Enjoying the birds
I got this to detour a cardinal from hitting the window but I didn’t know how many birds would come in to eat. I love watching them come in and eat ( even the cardinal ). They are protected from the wind when they sit in it to eat. It’s really been so enjoyable watching all of them eat outside my kitchen window.

The Birds, My Cats, and Me--we all love this bird feeder!
I used to keep bird seed in bowls on a balcony that had to be removed temporarily. I was quite concerned that one of my cats' favorite forms of non-human-supplied entertainment in this room would be gone. Then I found this bird feeder, which is RIGHT against the window is is loved to much more by my cats than any of the other birdfeeders we have or have had.It was easy to put up, it is easy to remove the main feeding part to clean (it's also easy to clean--I hate to clean anything). I removed the entire thing (except the suction cups) one time because the balcony-related construction got it covered in sawdust, and that was easy to deal with also. I've had it up for about 4 months, including during the coldest days we've had here in two decades (10 below zero after rain, so icy, then with snow). I wished I'd brought the feeder in when I thought about it too late, but it is fine. One tip--there is something you can put on the edge (brownish deal) that the birds stand on. If you are using only safflower seeds like me (I feel like the squirrels would jump from the roof and kill themselves if I had anything more appealing--the squirrels around here are massive), many birds like to crack them open on the brown deal. If the loud tapping is bothering you or interfering with your Zoom meetings, then remove the brown thing. Just as many birds come, but they carry the seeds elsewhere to tap them open. (It took me a long time to figure this out.)
