Great, but inflation 💰
Had these on my sub and save for a few years. Every few months would snag one to keep plenty on hand for big upcoming projects. Never did I ever believe the price would rocket up 💯 within a few years. Or I wouldn’t have bought the tool. Thankfully have a bunch in hand, atm.Won’t be using these for as many tasks as before. These are fantastic help on buffing to prep for stain on the porch steps, fence, deck. They’re wonderful in conjunction with power washing to prep cedar siding for paint. But need to be gentle or will rake the wood in a damaging way.Compared to 40 grit sandpaper on an oscillating sander or 36 for the belt this tool and accessory rock progress so fast.Is it worth buying the tool in this economy? Nope. Spend a little extra time using a sander. Was it worth buying four years ago, heck yeah! For the home DYIer save your money. The pads are not long lasting. For a professional charging someone for time this is a must have work horse.Five star product. One star economy. Not Wagner’s fault./\ updateEven though these don't last long they’re brutal on some of these renovation needs for this 1900 built property.I've done everything from refurbishing a used ramp system someone allowed me to take in exchange for removing it to helping with siding paint. Being careful not to mess with lead type still affixed.Repurposing everything from pallets to recoverable wood this really does make the job quicker and thus easier.I follow with either a belt sander and or orbital. Neither of which could handle the old paint from the deck or dank dark and or green having formed. These pads in combo with the other tools made for restorable sandable sustainable or paintable wood that makes up the wood treatment.Everything looks fantastic. If you need more aggressive means and chemicals or sanding hasn't worked or isn't preferred try the Wagner remover. They don't last long but get the job done very well.Be careful on softwood that you don’t press because this will make gashes on wood that might be tough to sand out.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯/\ updateThese pint eaters work great. These are the only end for the tool since they require screwing to the device.Even though a five ⭐️ review for functional use and ability to prep wood for most any project have one criticism... These don't last very long. They are worth using though as others have noted, anyone who commits to the tool will spend quite a bit on these replaceable eaters. If you have a definitive need, like me, repurposing a lot of wood or stripping an old house recently purchased, then this is a great help. A sander cleans up the residue. This will leave circular marks on wood following the removal of varnish or paint if you aren't careful, so beware and use a sander to help smooth the surface once heavier paint is a stripped.Despite needing to repurchase the paint eaters for me is a worthwhile investment for the need.Just wanted to give a warning to those on a budget. This wouldn't be the product for you. If money is not an issue for your project and getting the job done is this tool could be the answer. For me, this device saves time, if careful only removes paint, and is a compliment to a removal system for the DIY to the professional gig, in my opinion/\ updateBought a replacement and have lot of work remaining. Saw a demanded box item for a discount and scooped it up.Sure enough, the packaging was a mess, but product in perfect shape. Me, yeah, savings!I really like the Wagener paint eater.Super helpful for fixing up a house from 1900.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

Works better than expected.
These discs are awesome. My wife and I resided our house this summer and in the areas where the old wood was solid, we used these discs. They are amazing. They cut through the hassle of making boards finish ready with much less effort than using a sander. We are so glad we found these, and while there is a bit of learning curve to using these, once you figure it out, everything else get so much easier.

Saves a lot of elbow grease
Helps out quite a bit with scraping but in many instances doesn't get as deep as a hand scraper so if the boards aren't in total failure probably the best way to go

A must have for homeowner or professional who paints his house. The Wagner paint eater pads.
The Wagner paint eater pads eat the paint and feather the old paint onto your existing wood for easier prepping and painting. It's like having a sander and paint Stripper all in one, which saves time and money. I try to paint my house every two years, so I know how these pads work, and they easily screw off your Wagner paint eater with a press of a button and screw back on. It's that easy.

Works as described
Professionally packaged. These discs work very well for exterior paint removal. I stripped the whole outside of my house with this product. Keep in mind the my house was built in 1900. It had several layers of paint to go through. These discs took the surface down to bare wood. Although they are pricey, the discs do a good job.
