SpaldingWomen's Ankle Legging

For reference, I always need the petite or short length in pants, unless I'm specifically only wearing those pants with heels. In jeans and dress pants I'm usually wearing a size 4 or 6 short/petite, with an inseam approx 29-30" depending on the brand. In leggings I'm typically comfortable wearing a size small.These Spalding ankle leggings fit me perfectly in size small. Because my legs are so short, I can tug them down to hit a bit lower on the ankle than where it shows in the product picture if I want to, but their natural fit when I pull them on is hitting exactly at my ankle bone. I was shocked because some of the reviews from taller ladies seem to indicate that these also fit their leg length.The waist band does not dig. I picked these leggings originally because it was the only pair I found in this price point with a wide, flat waistband. When I first received them, I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting the entire waistband, from the top of the legging to the seam, to be one solid elasticized piece. Instead, there is a 1/2" piece of elastic sewn in at the very top of that wide waistband. My experience in the past has been very disappointing with other inexpensive leggings that had the small elastic, but I have not had a pair that also had the wide waistband fabric piece like these do. On trying these on around the house for a bit, I found that the elastic does not roll or budge in any way, so that wide waistband easily stays laying flat. I decided to keep them since they were so inexpensive, and figured I could just wear them lounging around the house if I ended up hating them (luckily I ended up loving them). They do not stretch out during the day at all. The material is soft.I waited a while before I wrote this review because I wanted to see how these would handle being machine washed & dried. They're cotton so I was a bit worried about shrinking and pilling but I have two pairs (one charcoal, one black) and I've washed them both 5 or 6 times so far without any issues. (It's not been that long since I got these but I've been wearing them a lot). I wash on delicate, cold water, and dry in the dryer on delicate, low heat. So far they have not lost any of their elasticity at all and there's no pilling at all, not even between the thighs. I am curious to see how they hold up over a longer period of time.I do not wear these to work out because I personally don't like to work out in cotton clothing. I am willing to pay a lot more for performance leggings with a higher percentage of poly in the fabric blend for working out, as I find that my sensitive skin prefers wicking materials, and because I don't like working out with obvious sweat showing through my clothes. This is not at all a disappointment to me. Since the cotton/poly blend percentage is right in the product description I knew that these were not for the gym (for me). At this price point I don't think you can get a true performance wicking legging (if you know of one, please let me know!!!). These are fine for me for activities like long walks and light yoga, but not HIIT or running.I've worn them to go out a few times with a tunic and ankle boots, with knee high boots and a sweater, out for date night with heels and a strappy tank top, and of course, lounging around the house. I am very pleased with these leggings overall, and I find myself reaching for them constantly - I'm going to buy a couple more pairs while I'm here!

These are thick enough to not show through but also hot because of that... not for warm weather, great for cooler weather. Well made, great fit.

My favorite leggings I could buy on amazon are Danskin. But since it seems like the specific style I prefer are no longer available I needed to find a new pair of go to leggings.I’m going on a dig in Zanzibar in a few weeks and needed a light pair of leggings to wear and thought these could be it! One great thing about them is how light they are. The leggings themselves are OK. I recommend going a size smaller than you’re used to because they don’t hold very well. After only a couple of hours they felt baggy and weren’t very comfortable. The ankle area is baggy. I am short so typically I have to roll that area up a little bit anyway, so it is not a huge deal to me (but I could be for taller women).The material is my favorite aspect of these leggings. They are SOFT and very flexible. I am buying more, but a size smaller.I wanted to point out that these leggings are totally see through when you bend over. This isn’t something I care about (since my field shirts cover my ass) but if you wear short tops with these just know that if you bend over everyone will see the color of your underwear. I do recommend these leggings though- just know the caveats before making this purchase.

These are probably my favorite leggings I have ever had in regards to how comfy they are! I love wearing them!They are a little short though. When I first took them out of the packaging I noticed they looked shorter than the usual pair of leggings and thought they would not fit. They are stretchy enough however that when I put them on they do not feel too short and they come to the top of my ankle. They are a bit shorter than most other leggings I own but this is not a problem for me because I almost always wear leggings with socks that cover the bottom of them anyway. (for reference I am 5'8" so I have slightly longer than average legs-for shorter people they should be perfect)I have washed the leggings a few times already and there is some slight pilling in the upper thigh area right below the crotch where the fabric rubs together when I walk. Other than that the leggings have not had any pilling and they are still are comfy as the day I got them!These are fairly thin leggings though so they are not super warm and I only wear them with something that covers my butt because you can see through them a tiny bit.Overall these are good leggings and I love the way they fit and feel on me!

For the price, these are decent cotton leggings, but not a workout pant. Comfortable and a good waist that doesn't cut into your sides. I ordered a small (I'm 5'6, 130 pounds). They are not loose, however the fabric is quite thin and can be see-through. They look fine when standing, but when I sit down they look very thin on the top of my thighs. I'd imagine the same would be true if I bent over, so I would not recommend them without a long top. They are too thin and cottony to wear for working out. I just wear them around the house or under a dress with boots where the thinness won't be noticeable.

LOVE these leggings. I have bought 4 pairs over the last 2 years because I like having multiple around. I have worn these to work out, and under with sweaters and booties for a more dressed up look. They have a cotton feel, aren’t see through, but aren’t so thick that they’re hot or uncomfortable to sweat in.I am 5’3” and a size 8-10 usually and the M fits perfectly. A little high in the waist but I like that. They are perfect length for me and only scrunch just a little at the ankle. They are true ankle leggings but if you’re over 5’6” they may be a little shorter.The first pair I had I wore multiple times a week at work, at the gym, to lounge, etc. after about 6 months they did get a small hole in crotch area. But my legs rub together when I walk. And I was wearing them ALOT.For the money, I am totally satisfied and I highly recommend these leggings!

Not see through, comfy, perfect length

They fit well and I am a big gal! Nice fabric, fits high in the waist. They do not wear out in the thigh area like other tights. Reasonable price. Great purchase. Have bought both long and capri length.

Soft, opaque leggings. They are super comfortable, I love the colour. I bought large which fit me at around 145-165 lbs, but have lost weight and will buy a medium. I’m 5’5 for reference.
