This is a good Toothbrush for dogs. It is not too stiff. You can apply an enzymatic toothpaste for dogs to your furry friend, then after a minute or so, you can brush all 3 exposed sides of the teeth with this brush. But it cannot undo damage, so remember not to give too many treats. If you and your dog play tug of war with a rope bone, that helps remove tarter, too. 😉

This product is probably great for big does but too big for my shorkies teeth. It should come in different sizes. Otherwise, not a bad product at all.

After a visit to the vet to have my dog's teeth cleaned which required a few extractions I bought two of these items. One for each of my dogs as two dogs should not share the same brush (for the same reason people don't). Initially both my dogs were very hesitant to have the brush placed in their mouths. So initially I brushed only teeth I could get to (which was usually the front) and let them lick the rest of the toothpaste off the brush. Apparently it is like a 'treat'. At night I would put some more toothpaste on the brush and place it where they sleep so we could create a positive experience for them. They have now grown more accustomed to their respective brushes and are not frightened of the process any longer while continuing to enjoy the toothpaste. So much so they want to lick it off the brush immediately whereas I have other plans. If you're smarter than me and have been cleaning your pet's teeth since they were young (and are used to it) then you will most likely appreciate this even more.

The vanilla flavor seemed a bit odd for a pup, but he didn’t seem to mind. The brush is simple to use although if they bite down the brush does get smooshed and the bristles are a little wonky after that. Overall gets the job done with only minor problems.

My pup hated the toothbrush at first but has gotten more used to it. She seemed to dig the vanilla toothpaste from the start though. You can feel when you get the "right" placement of the brush so that it's surrounding the teeth; it's designed to do all 3 sides at once. It doesn't work perfectly every time but feels mostly successful. A few of my friends use gauze wrapped around their finger with a little of the paste to brush their dogs' teeth, and that seems to work, too. Anything you can do to remove some plaque. We do this once or twice a week, and she gets a little crunchy treat after each row of teeth.

First off, please note that we have a large Samoyed we are basing our review on and this product might work better for other breed. This is just our experience with the product. We will separate this product in two parts, the toothbrush and the toothpaste:Toothbrush:The way it is constructed you'd think it would do a good job, but we have discovered that the bristles are not positioned in a way to get down near the gums where most canine tooth issue occur. We actually utilize a real toothbrush now for much better results.Toothpaste:Well this is the real issue now. Our dog loves this stuff and would sit there forever licking it while we brushed his teeth if we wanted, but the problem comes in the form that our vet feels the reason why he likes it so much is because of the high sugar and/or sweetener contents. It is basically like brushing your dogs teeth with candy, it doesn't make sense. Unfortunately, our vet could not think of a better brand and suggested that we still utilize it, but in pea like amounts and try to wash off his teeth with water post every application.In summary, for the price it was a great product to test, but we are still lacking what we really desired in terms of canine tooth care.

I tried a lot of toothbrushes for my Shih Tzu. This is the best I've found for it's size and how good of a job it does.

I have a 12 lb rat terrier chihuahua mix. She really likes this toothpaste. She doesn't mind the brush either. I'm just glad that I found something I can start to brush her teeth with. She lets me do it with this product. All that said, I don't use the full capacity of this toothbrush. It is slightly big for her, so I don't often get the whole head of the brush in her mouth on her gums. But, enough of the brush gets in there to do the job we need it to do for now. That's farther than I've gotten before with other products.
