Irritating...
I received this book as part of the Prime Book club that I signed up for. I read it to my son the night we got it and let me just say... it's an awful book. The illustrations are terrible. The writing it terrible. My 3-year-old son and I were not impressed. I understand the meaning behind the book, but he doesn't. This book is the reason I immediately cancelled my Prime Book membership. If I was going to be $19.99 a month to receive two books, I'd rather it be two books that actually had great reviews. I feel like this monthly book club is a way for Amazon to get rid of unpopular books to parents and children who enjoy getting surprises in the mail. Save your money.

This one wasn’t a keeper.
This book wasn’t great but it did address anger in a way that I haven’t seen before. My 5 year old and 8 year old lost interest pretty quickly and didn’t care for the book. I got it in my amazon book club. I didn’t like it much and neither did the kids. We will pass this one along.

Very abstract
Maybe I'm too literal, but I really didn't get the idea behind this book. I read it to my son and I was very confused and didn't pick up on the message of "unconditional love and community." I received it through Prime Book Box and I was pretty disappointed in it.

Beautiful book that addresses anger in a unique way
I’m still not sure of the message of this book, but the illustrations are gorgeous and eye catching and the book captured my kids’ attention.

Love Snicket Books...
We love this book. I have 6 kiddos and they loved it the second time we read it as well as the first. Very interesting book for kids that like to think a bit and put the story together in their heads.

I just can't stand this book
I'm really sad I chose this for the monthly book box, it's awkward to read and overall the story is just blah. There are much better books out there, I'd really skip this one.

Not worth it.
I really did not like this book. I felt like it was hard to follow, there wasn’t much of a point to it and just not worth reading again. Not a fan.

Something missing...
I loved reading Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" growing up & have recently bought some of his children's books for classes I work with. Unfortunately, this book feels a bit flat to me & isn't up to Snicket's usual standards. The story is ok, but not especially exciting.
