Durable, colorless adapter
Does the job, has survived countless dozen connection at both the male and female connectors. female end is a little tight for my tastes but I haven't wrecked a cable yet so it's fine.

Almost Perfect
I gave this product a 4 stars because it "worked", however the large black plastic outer shield or barrel was just a little too fat to fit into the headphone opening (not the jack itself), so it required a bit of trimming with a single edge blade. Now up close it looks a little hokey, but at least now it allows the jack go in far enough to make contact with the inner (female) portion. I just hope that with the missing bit of plastic, it holds together. But I am happy to have purchased it and it makes a world of difference.

Works only 1 direction
I've been looking for an adapter to make my Panasonic headset work with my laptop, which has just a single connector for "headset". I just tried this, and it does not work for this purpose (it is only one-way). So if you are looking for using with headset for 2-way comm, this is not what you want to get. I don't know if it's fair to downgrade but I guess the description should specifically say that.

It works for me.
There is a lot of feedback here about things working and not working. So, let me be specific. I wanted to use my existing headset -- an older Etymotic ety.com that terminates in a 3-conductor 2.5mm plug -- with my new phone -- an Asus ZenFone 2E, which has a 3.5mm audio jack. This adapter works perfectly for this purpose. There are no problems with fit or audio function, either mic or earphone. This runs counter to the product description, first bullet ("... it will not support the speaker or mic functions on the headset"). What can I say? I took a chance on the thing, and I got lucky... I guess.

Seems like a good one
Seems like a good one. However, I bought it for a Panasonic cordless phone to connect to a speaker because the speakerphone isn't loud enough. It didn't fit it, but it does work on some headphones I have.

Plug is kinda loose, but excellent for what you pay for
It's cheap... Does what it's supposed to, but is kinda flimsy and kinda loose on the male end

Incredibly Poor Build Quality
The internals of the product broke apart and became completely loose pretty much the moment I jacked in a plug for the first time into the female end of the converter, shortening its lifespan of function from whatever it's supposed to be to about.... 2-3 minutes?Absolute junk.

Good value
It works fine most of the time although the fit to 2.5mm stero plug is not so well. A few time it lost the connection because of that. Overall a good value.

Does not work.
Garbage! Won't work properly unless you wiggle the cable to no end. Scratchy sound on audio, non-stop errors on data connections (temperature probe, etc). Would never buy again!

When I plug 2. 5mm headset into it, ...
When I plug 2.5mm headset into it, the plug wobbles around. I have had to tape it in place with electrical tape to make it work. And it took over a month to travel via sloth mail from the US to Canada
