Disappointing
Worked great the first time I used it and hasn't worked since. Seems like the solar panel did not recharge the battery... and I live in Texas so having sun was not a problem. So I went to the accompanying documentation to see it that could shed some light for me. I have never seen such poorly written documentation. Actually, they were not just poorly written but they made no sense. At the end of the documentation they say: "Our customer service is friendly and hassle free, please contact us if needed." But there is absolutely no contact information. Would suggest you pass on this one and try one of the many others available. There has got to be a better on in the offerings.

Works Poorly and Birds Avoid It
The fountain seemed to work adequately for a few days but after two weeks barely worked at all. Even in direct sunlight the pump only managed feeble spurts. And after two weeks I saw no evidence of the battery backup. I suspect that the minimal power capability of the panel may be sufficient for locations nearer to the equator; I'm at 42 degrees N, so users at 30 degrees N or lower may have better luck. Worse, for some reason birds will no longer go near the bird bath (which has been in the same spot for years) with this fountain in it. Ideal application: overhead sun all day, no trees or obstructions, want to keep birds away.

Poor design
Poorly designed. The POWER of the pump is only .5 to .85 watts (By your own instruction sheet). The solar panel allegedly produces 2.4 watts. This is NOT true. The 9v battery is rated at 2.4 watts. That does NOT mean the solar energy is 2.4 watts . . . as ADVERTISED. When I use the three small suction cups, the solar panel is slightly under water (1") and produces a VERY small bubble of water which does NOT get ariated in the least. The solar energy produced only charges the battery for approximately 30 minutes (again, by your own instruction sheet). I have 33 solar panels on my roof that produce 11 kw. Your solar panel, while larger than my other solar water fountain panel, produces only .85 watts, max while the older one produces 1.1 watts. That simply means, that once again, you are distorting the facts. You need to redesign your product or tell the folks the truth. I would NOT recommend this product under any circumstances.

It works well in direct sun.
I like that there are no wires. I tried the smallest and one other outlet but for a small birdbath was too much - water splashed overboard and soon half the water was gone so it quit working. I added just the extender cone thing and it stayed mostly in the birdbath. This would be really nice in something bigger - coy pond maybe? I gave it 5 stars because it does work well in bright sun. Overcast or before the sun comes around the house - not very well even though it is very bright.

It had such high reviews...This solar fountain lasted about 35 minutes!!
Set it up in bird bath and it started right up. 35 minutes later and it wasn't working. When I lifted it out of the birdbath the clip that holds the attached battery and where the selected fountain head attaches, was floating in the water. We tried to just set that attachment in the water under the solar panel but could not get it to stay.Update: Please note that this has a very short RETURN date! Purchased in early Spring for summer and due to ongoing winter conditions not able to put this outside until the 30 day return date expired. Continue to try to make this work by super gluing the detached battery holder...still not working. SAVE your money, this is a disappointing piece of junk (and return policy!!)

Everyone loves it
The media could not be loaded. I love this little fountain! I get a lot of compliments on it. I took the spout off because it’s very windy where I am and it blows all the water out. But in a pond it would be perfect. And on non windy days I can put the spout on. In full sun it will give you a continuous spray. In shade or partial shade or spurts.

it works even on overcast days.
Wanted a small fountain for my bird bath. It works well and is dependable too. Enjoying having it.

Needs A Deep Birdbath
This would work better in a deep birdbath. Mine is shallow and this thing just runs aground and tilts over so it isn't a fountain, it just gurgles water. Not worth buying.
