Cheap! If you want to add a "little" bass to your system
Installed 3 of these under my seat in a crew cab Toyota Tundra. Made baffles for the extra storage under the back seat. Don't expect huge bass from these but For being 8's I say they are pretty nice. If you tune your amp right these sound good. But these ain't no 12's which im used to. Can't really push these to the limit as they start distorting at high volume. The music I listen to bogs these out if I turn them up. But you can't beat the price. Like the saying you get what you pay for. I'm gonna sell these on Craigslist and stick with my rockfords ;)

Review in Progress
4/19/13 Ok I ordered these lil subs because I wanted something in between cheap and high quality. These subs look well built with a beefy structure in the photos. When the subs arrived however they felt cheap. They do have some decent weight on them but are not as heavy as they look in the photos. I had a box made that was around 1 cubic foot per sub. They did not sound good at all. I believe the enclosure was too large. They did kind of hit but did not sound like I wanted them to sound. I am currently working on an enclosure that could possibly bring out the full subwoofer's capability. You have to be very specific with subwoofers like lanzar. These subs are not meant to be tortured like other HQ brands out there. I've been torturing some infinity reference 10 inch subs for 3 years and nothing has happened to them. On the other hand lanzar subwoofers have cheap voice coils and will not last very long if you are not precise with your power output. I will be making a video and I will do a complete review of these subs. This review is a work in progress. So please don't let it affect your decesion of purchase until I complete it. Also if the enclosure works how I believe it will work. I will post a picture of a blue print with the precise measurments. TO BE CONTINUED...........4/21/13 Ok I'm updating my review. After placing the subs in the enclosure I built these subs sound amazing. I tried to upload a video 3 times here on amazon and it didn't work. Im changing this review from 2 stars to 4 stars. It would of been 5 stars if it had better terminals. I did however upload the video on you-tube. The gain for the amp is half way up and so is the head unit volume. Here is the link; [...] The amplifier that I am using is the Boss EXTREME CXXM1250 Monoblock amplifier. I will be adding a picture of the subwoofer enclosure blue-prints in a few days. I do recommend these subs, in the right enclosure they sound great.

Broken
So I found this speaker originally it’s like 40 bucks maybe whatever I saw two of them on there used I was like OK maybe somebody bought it didn’t like how loud it got and said no and returned it I didn’t know buying a used meant buying broken. The connections on the back of the speaker that squeeze down to allow you to put the wire in that hole connection is just broke off along with the tab that it screws to you on your further inspection it looks like the left side one or negative it’s just completely locked up I’m guessing the guy who had it before me press down too hard and it just snapped the whole connections off I have recently tried to bond it back on but thinking about it and the way the speaker is going to shake when it’s on I think I just got screwed over.. We’ll see both of them didn’t come together I’m still missing one of the speakers says it will be here in a few days kind of odd that they shipped them differently. i’m hoping the Other one is in at least working condition like I said I didn’t know buying used meant buying broken./ update Other one came in this one looks like it was left outside in the rain And has a small hole in the rubber rim. I should’ve just went to a pawnshop.. After hooking it up and turning it on for the first time my amp caught on fire within five minutes.. kinda bummed out.

This thing is built like a tank but very inefficient
Well constructed speaker at a good price. Its biggest flaw is that it eats wattage. Was downgrading to a 8 inch sealed box from a 10 inch ported to save trunk space. My 10 was a MTX (1000 max, 250 rms, 4ohm) hooked into a 500 watt Sony amp and it popped enough for some rattle but this thing barely moved so I knew my connections were good. I noticed the manufacturer didn’t mention nothing of its rms just 800 max. In other words you better off plugging your leads into a brick as far as efficiency goes. But the good news is you’re not going to blow this unless you really try lol

Sounds great at 300 watt rms @4 ohm in my ported box
Honestly wasnt expecting the amout of bass this little subwoofer is putting out. I have 4 gauge wire an amp that has a true dyno at 300 watt rms @4 ohm the subwoofer is in a small ported enclosure with 12 ga speaker wire. In a 4 door vehicle

The speaker sounds good but i turn it up on my amp only 400 watts and the tinsel leads is kinda broken i have to push the cone in for it to work again

Short life span
Great sound however I originally ordered a set of two and after 3 weeks one went voice coil went out at low volume after proper break in period I had thought it may have been just a fluke I purchased a replacement and again the replacement did the same after 3 weeks. I will not be replacing with the same due too a 66% failure rate. Pay a little more in this case the saving costs more money and time in the end. and
