Naw, don't bother...
Well... it does have information but its had too weed it out. I gave up halfway through. Book jumps all over, no order at all. Pictures are so tiny and black & white so half the time I couldn't see what he was referring too. And the final blow- this author is in South Africa... everything is in liters and centimeters and such. No telling what size anything really is. At the end there is a conversion chart if you're really good with math and have extra time on your hands. Not to mention everything there is different from here... the send worms by currier service! I found better, more relevant info on you tube for free.... (and sorry to the author, he seems like a good and knowledgeable fella, just needed a better editor!)

Overall this book is excellent with one minor nit detailed below
Overall this book is excellent with one minor nit detailed below. I have some past experience with basement worm farming (in plastic bins) and was getting the operation going again and wanted a refresher and this book covers a lot of ground. For example, the author postulates a maximum theoretical population growth rate which results in over 3 million worms at the end of 1 year from an initial 1000 worms. I enjoyed that mathematical entertainment. (My own calculations yield 10.8 billion assuming start of 1000 adults where 1 adult yields 3 cocoons after 1 week which yield 3 juveniles per cocoon after 3 weeks and where each juvenile reaches maturity after 6 weeks.)But I thought I'd mention one aspect of the book which I was pleasantly surprised with: the quality of the book itself and in particular the typeface. Plenty of white space and a supremely clear font make this book very comfortable to read. I only wish they included a colophon (or whatever the section is that describes the font used). The one nit concerns the photographs used throughout the book. One, they are so small (think thumbnail verses full photo) that any worthwhile detail is lost. Second, while black-and-white would work fine, for some reason the quality of b&w photos are highly contrasted with the darks so dark that all detail is lost. Most of the photo choices seem to not add value (I don't need this book to learn what a centipede looks like). But in some cases it may be valuable to have a website with photos of the bins and other materials so I can actually see detail. (The 'Look Inside' feature does show examples of pages containing photos - e.g. p.5.)The cynic in me does suggest that if one is on "a shoe-string budget" that maybe poring over internet sources is the best approach as there seems to be plenty of it out there, including the book author's own web site.Keep on worming.

Disappointing Read
I was disappointed with this book. I learned much more from watching youtube videos.I was annoyed that I had to flip to the back of the book constantly to make temperature and volume conversions from metric to US.The black and white photos were extremely hard to make out.

Excellent book!
I just finished reading this book. I can recommend it enough. Very detailed and very well explained. I have the kindle version and it is great because you can click in the links he suggests and also you can highlight it too. I highly recommend this book not only for the ones that want to start a worm business but also the ones that want to have a worm farm at home for personal use. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is well written, easy to understand and full of really useful information. I intend to put this into practice and see how successful I can be.I would recommend this book to anyone looking to make an eco friendly small business.

Perfektes Buch!
Top! Wirklich empfehlenswert!
