Plano23600-01 Stowaway with Adjustable Dividers

I doubt my review will say anything that hasn't already been said, but these things are awesome!I have probably 30-40 different Stowaway boxes in at least 10 different sizes and that is because I use these things to sort everything from batteries, to kitchen items, to money, to food, to fishing tackle, to paracord items, to being a makeshift valet box, to holding loose screws/nails/hardware to pencils/pens/office items, to emergency supplies, to products for my rabbit, etc.Getting these in bulk on Amazon is nice. I like the bulk packs because even if I do not have a current use for some of these, I know sooner or later I will find some practical use for it and it will help make my life a little more organized than throwing everything into a shoebox.For long-term storage, these are especially nice because they keep bugs and small chewing animals out, the dividers can be used to protect individual items from banging into each other (like jewelry/watches), the hinges themselves are stronger than most of the generic boxes, and the latch system used on the standard Stowaway and the premium & waterproof Stowaway line is strong, easy to open/close, very visible (it's not clear so it does not blend in), and holds up to frequent usage. And of course if you are storing something long-term and forget exactly what is inside, you can physically see the contents without having to open it up, pull everything out, and then put it all back in only to realize what you wanted wasn't even there to begin with!The ability to customize the compartments with included dividers also gives this product a degree of versatility that most others lack. You aren't limited by pre-set sizes that could be too small or too big. You set it up for YOUR application to maximize the usage of space and get the order that suits YOU. These dividers work exceptionally well as they make full contact with both the top, bottom, side, and other side of the outer box, and they stay put once you install them (they don't fall or flop out). Whoever came up with this idea deserves some special honor like a big key to a really a large city (whom he could then store in his Stowaway because he can customize it to fit this larger-than-your-everyday-key.)Best of all, if you drop this, it will protect the contents from spilling out (and protect your back from having to bend over and pick each individual piece up) plus the usage of individual compartments with the dividers keeps items in their own separate location rather than getting all mixed up with everything else.Much like Duct Tape and JB Weld, this is one of those products that humanity could spend eternity trying to make a list of all the things you could use with a Plano, and fail miserably. There isn't enough computing power in the world to make those kinds of lists because the possibilities are endless.

This a nice box for small parts ! I have been using PLANO plastic boxes for YEARS now, for elec. parts, fishing, sewing, etc ... and they JUST HOLD up ! THe latches don't seem to wear out over time and the plastic they use seems JUST a bit thicker. If you're looking for small parts storage look to PLANO ! They seem to have a size and shape for everything.

We purchased two of these for our kids to store their rainbow loom bands. The cases have stood up well despite several drops (from table tops to ground and kid's height to ground) on hardwood floors. The clasps are very sturdy and we have not experienced any accidental opens. The dividers can be customized and make it easy to adjustment the bin size to match the quantity of any band color. The only negative with this container is that you can not store the loom itself - it is too large.

This is a great small storeboxAs for the box itself, it comes divided in 6 colums, these are not removable. You also get a lot of dividers you can slide separate the columns in smaller boxes, so you can create a custom box but you are not able to create wierd shapes or something like thatI bough it so I could keep my Eldritch Horror boardgame in order.And I can tell you.... this is a big game with a lot of things to setup and to store at the end. That is time consuming, but then I found this box.I was able to fit everything in the base game, all the cards, tokens, every little piece, each in a separate compartment.There is still some space left (a lot actually) so I thing I can fit one or two expantions in there.Only thing that is outside the box now are the big character and elder sheets. So you can see it does hold pretty well with boardgames of this size.This storage box would fit perfect in the game box also, and in any gamebox of similar sizes(you might have to flat out some pieces on the inside box layer to make room for it) and it would be enough space for the game map to rest on top of the box so you can keep the game on the original box but have it ready to play in seconds everytime you want.Overall, great box, I recomend it if you have a particular boardgame that takes a lot of time to setup.

I've just unpacked two of the Plano Stowaways and I'm liking them a lot so far. First know these do come with some assembly required. The inner dividers come connected and you'll need to grab your scissors and separate them, then enter them into the slots in the organizer. I find this to be a plus because you can customize the compartment size to suit your needs. Doing this took me about five minutes. They'll need a very close cut - even the slightest overhang left on the divider will require it to be forced into the slot. I think that's a good sign because it means you'll have a nice snug fit and not need to worry about the dividers coming loose. The plastic seems sturdy and the latches have a great tight hold when you close them. Nothing loose on this product which is ideal since its meant for smaller pieces and parts to be stored. The last thing you want is hundreds of tiny anything's all over the place because your organizer gave out. Lastly, and maybe not significant to some, but it was to me, the paper label on the top peeled nicely with no adhesive left on top. I plan to use these for my kids shopkins and will add foam letters with their names on top.
