It is a beautiful book, and the recipes use quality ingredients. It is also a great size, not to big.

I am a teacher. I can honestly say I love it when parents give me gifts that are thoughtful. While parents are not at all required to give me any gift, getting the same mug over and over again can be a bit overwhelming. On the same note, just because it has the word teacher on it, does not mean it should be gotten. As a result, I will be splitting this review in two. The first is from the teacher in me, and the second the blogger side.Blogger:This cookbook is not at all what I expected. When I read the word teacher in the title, I was expecting something teacher themed. As I started to flip through this cookbook, I noticed quite a few recipes that had no rhyme or reason. All of the recipes came from different nationalities. My biggest gripe was the table of contents. In order to find the recipe, I had to flip through the book. to find the type of food I was looking for first. There were a few table of contents and only one was in the front of the book. However, I will admit I did love how this cookbook was filled with images.Teacher:As a teacher I was not sure what to expect. I always prepare my food at home and appreciate good food. When I first opened this book, I was confused. It was difficult to navigate and had nothing to do with teaching, school, or education. Rather it reminded me of recipes pulled from google. If a parent were to give me a cookbook, I would have preferred it to be 3 recipes of the child's favorite food or something more personal. This cookbook was very random. The only thing I could think of was the title teacher appreciation.My Overall Opinion:I would most likely not recommend this cookbook. Other then the cover, this really had nothing to do with teacher's. The recipes are difficult to navigate due to many table of contents and the recipes have no theme.When I was writing this review, I was considering giving it a 1 star because of the difficult I have. However, as a person who loves to cook, I added a star because the photographer did an excellent job take photographs.I received this cookbook in exchange for an honest review. What an amazing book! I am a school principal who gives away books to staff members on their birthdays. My original intent was to give this book as a gift, but, after carefully studying the entire contents, I AM KEEPING THE BOOK FOR MYSELF! The photographs are mouth-watering. The text and graphics are so attractive. I agree that this would be THE PERFECT Teacher Appreciation gift at any time during the year!

I really love that photos are offered with every recipe. This is a huge deal for me since I like to compare my creations with the book. That way, I know if I followed the directions carefully.The recipes are pretty comprehensive and include something for everyone. Would definitely recommend.

This book contains a wide variety of recipes from many different cuisines, Greek, Italian, Latin American, etc. They are all very simple to follow and result in beautiful dishes that make for great presentation. I would highly recommend this for yourself or as a gift for your favorite teacher.

This book is a great collection of recipes that are easy enough for a novice but complex enough to impress friends with the results.
