The ease of using it. It’s hard to find a sharpener for the square pencil, and this product does what it should with ease.

Thought I was getting 3 sharpeners. As others have stated, this is not a value by any means.Shipping was quick, next day, simply disappointed in the value. I should have read the description and the reviews before ordering.

Who knew they made sharpeners for carpenter's pencils??? Works great, way more even sharpening than the pocket knife method.

I ordered three of these hoping to get one of each color, red, blue and black. I received 2 black and 1 blue. I ordered these on 4/1 and received them 4/22, the first day of a range of dates given as delivery dates. I tried sharpening a new carpenter's pencil with one. It seemed to be doing well but got harder and harder to get the blade to cut requiring considerable pressure pushing the pencil into the sharpener. It never did expose all of the lead all the way around, it got so hard, so I finished it with a utility knife. It's good for making a cone shape, but the point still has to be finished by hand. I also bought a name brand sharpener, which arrived in a day, that sharpens carpenter's pencils easier.

Hard to find a rotating pencil sharpener for square carpenter pencils. This one works very well putting a nice sharp point on the graphite. Highly recommended.
