FRIENDS FOREVER
This is a cute picture book that teaches elementary school age children a valuable lesson. Jojo is a young, shy girl who has difficulty making friends. She asks the animals around her and inanimate objects like a kite and a tree to be her friend. No one responds to her pleas until one day she spies a snowman outside her window. When Jojo asks him to be her friend, she is delighted when he says yes. She and the snowman named Puddles begin doing everything together. One day Puddles informs Jojo he will soon be leaving as the warm weather is approaching. She is sad but he assures her that he will return again. Puddles provides Jojo with the confidence to approach others and seek friendship. Jojo finds a boy named Ned who becomes her good friend. Then Ned moves away, but Jojo has learned a valuable lesson from Puddles that will help Ned and Jojo in their loneliness. This is a charming book that teaches children the value of friendship and how to put the needs of others before their own. Highly recommended as a bedtime story, read aloud or beginning chapter book.

Cute story about making friends
As a grandma and former home-school teacher, I'm always on the lookout for interesting children's books. I was first drawn to this book by Andi Cann because of the colorful front cover. The message inside is even more awesome...so I knew I needed to review this book. Some children have a harder time making new friends than others. The stress of a move can make things difficult even for more social kids. This book tells a story about a little girl who desperately wants to make friends but isn't sure how. She finds a snowman who talks to her about how to make friends, and then in turn she helps a boy who just moved to town to make some new friends. The book doesn't over-explain, but leaves room for parents/grandparents or a teacher to start a discussion about ways to make friends, what being a good friend means and ways to make new kids feel welcome. The artwork in this book is beautiful! Each page has a colorful picture. This book could have classroom uses as well as being perfect for story time at home. It teaches an important lesson and could be really helpful for shy kids. The story might even give more outgoing children ideas about how to befriend kids who are more reserved. Overall, it's just a nice story about how to be a friend and make friends.Great book! It is available in both English and Spanish. I'm going to recommend it to my local library.

Magical!
Jojo is a lonely little girl who decides to go out and find friends. She soon realizes it isn't always easy making new friends. Then one day she meets a magical snowman who has many things to teach little Jojo about friendship. What a sweet and positive book this is! I LOVED the adorable illustrations and the message of friendship in the story. Although I don't necessarily think this is a book meant just for the holidays, it's certainly a wonderful time of year to read it to the special child in your life. Lovely!

Gorgeously Illustrated with a Good Message on Friendship!
The Magic of Friendship Snow is a gorgeously illustrated picture book about the difficulties of making a friend and having to say goodbye to a good friend. Even children can feel lonely at times. In this story, Jojo gets help from a snowman and ends up making a friend with a pet and a neighbor child. One day the neighbor has to move away. Saying goodbye can be sad, but Jojo passes on the magic of friendship snow to help her friend when he gets to the new place. My daughter, Amanda (age 10), and I really enjoyed the illustrations and we think that this book teaches an important lesson about making friends. We feel that this is a wonderful story for boys and girls ages 5 to 8.

Everyone needs a a friend.
Jojo was so lonely. She seemed to be friendly enough: she was certainly polite and asked many times if others wanted to be her friend. Truth be told she didn't have any friends, and she wasn't sure how to even BE a friend. But that was all about to change: Jojo was about to meet Puddles. Everyone should have a friend like Puddles.Puddles was a snowman who taught Jojo how to be a friend. Then as spring approached he explained to Jojo that he'd have to leave, but he assured her that she could find another friend. She wasn't sure about that, but what could she do? She didn't want Puddles to melt and die! She had to let him go.See what happened when Jojo's only friend left. Could she really find another good friend? Would she ever see Puddles again? This is a powerful story for anyone who is lonely.I remember when we placed membership in a new congregation upon returning to TX. We invited several couples and their children to our home for a meal. No one ever invited us over. I was about to give up when I became aware there were others just like us who didn't have friends yet in the congregation. Yes, I'd plugged into several families through dinners in my home, but I hadn't plugged into the RIGHT family. Instead of giving up I needed to keep trying. The same is true with children. Just because a child tries to make friends with a number of others without success doesn't mean it will never happen. Teach your child to look around. Find the child who is usually alone - maybe sitting and watching everyone else playing. Tell him to invite THAT child to play. Of course, explain that this person might also be shy or afraid to make friends. Tell him the other child is just as uncertain about this as he is. However, the other child may be just as lonely so don't ask and then give up. Invite the child to swing together or build something in the sand. Remind him how Puddles had been friendly, and encourage your child to be like Puddles. Invite the other child to your house to play. (Of course you should also invite his caregivers since they don't know your family either. Visit with them while the children play. Realize that sometimes you are part of the solution: people these days need to be cautious around strangers. That doesn't mean we must avoid everyone. It simply means you have better facts and skills at knowing who seems to be safer than your children do.)I think this is a great story for children. As the shy child I didn't have a lot of friends, but I appreciated those I had. I'm still a loner in that I don't like big crowds. However, there is nothing wrong to prefer being with one or two or three close friends than lost in a crowd of people. Help your child to understand and appreciate who he is, and encourage him to keep searching for a friend. If Puddles can lead the way, so can you.

A heartwarming story about friendship, with beautiful illustrations
Kids who struggle to make new friends will find hope and comfort from this enchanting tale about Jojo, a little girl who has no friends. Jojo’s efforts to find a friend just aren’t working, until a snowman made of “friendship snow” appears. He teaches Jojo how to be a good friend, before he has to leave in the Spring. Will Jojo now be lucky enough to herself find a human friend? You’ll have to read the book to find out, but I can reveal that the ending to this story is heartwarming. The painted illustrations that accompany the words in the story are wonderful, and younger children will enjoy looking at them as they have the words read out to them.

Super fofo!Mesmo eu não sendo o público alvo, The Magic of Friendship Snow me conquistou.
