Q: How does the height adjustment work?

There is no height adjustment. It does cover more than enough space that you will need to block the brightness.

Both if you install it in the front of your car visor it is using the car visor . But if you install it in the back of your car visor it is an extension ! I prefer it in the back . It serves the purpose but it is not as good quality polarized as your expensive sunglasses .

I’m not sure what you mean by height adjustment feature. I clipped this visor to my side visor in my tractor at work to block the sun on the left side of my face. I love it. It works great for my needs. This probably hasn’t helped to answer your question.

Q: what is the advantage of polycarbonate and tac?

the most important point must be high impact-resistance and temperature resistance. but polycarbonate always perform better, tac polarizer may only have a thin chemical laminate on one side of the lens. The thin layer may only provide minimal benefit and the thin layer can be rubbed or scratched off easily. especially when it is in high temperature, but they both perform better than acrylic
