Astro 1426FNP 5-3/4" Extension Nose Piece for Astro 1426 Hand Riveter

The 1426 Astro Pneumatics riveter with this extension tool works well for installing the rivets on a window regulator on an older Volvo S80. However, some of the older stock of the 1426FNP were threaded incorrectly resulting in having to return two of them and finally getting one direct from Astro Pneumatics that worked. A five star product that gets docked two stars for the two defective units I had to wait for, one agonizing shipment at a time. Bought this extension for my Astro rivet gun with the intention to perform the under body heat shield recall for the f150 and f250s. I was able to cut the time way down on the installs for the power boost trucks along with my little cheat sheet. That is until ford decided they no longer want to rivet the heat shields in to place and to just remove them. So now it will sit in my tool box unused. The few times I used it it was great and worked good. There are no instructions but as long as you have the mechanical ability of a 3rd grader you can figure it out on how to install the extension.

I needed a longer nose riveter and this one would have been the right length...but it was so dang thick that I couldn't use it...truly heavy duty...just make sure that you don't need a long and skinny nose...this one is long and thick. I was going to use it to attach rivets on the back of my snowmobile and couldn't do it. The diameter of the hole in the plastic around the back flap was just too small to let this beast in there.

Needed this to fix the window regulator on my 02 Volvo S80. It pretty much doubled my original pop rivet tool

Just keep in mind you will need to be straight on the rivet to use these. Make sure you have the room. If you do they work good with minimal effort.

Tried to replace the outer cylinder with the longer 5.5" extension.When unscrewed, everything came apart- and the jaws keep sliding down into the inner cylinder piece.Asides from the tiny, crusty parts breakdown they give you, there's no clear instructions or pictures on how to reassemble or attach the extended outer cylinder.Big disappointment- usage is not as easy and straightforward as others would have you believe.

Fits the astro Riveter it was designed for perfectly. Easy swap out with the original part and helps get to deep rivets in hard to reach places.
