This is a classic Asian movie and one of the first I ever watched from Asia. I will purchase all the different productions of this story in the future if I can get them.

I really enjoyed this tv show.

First, I will tell you that to me this is a good enough drama. But many people would be disappointed if they made the mistake that I did. This is NOT "Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo" from 2013-- rather, it is from 1996, and it seems it was the first televised version of the popular manga.The production quality isn't all that great, so while I watched the first chapters I tried to figure out when it was from (there isn't any information about the year on the DVDs or the box, at all). And it could have been from the 1980s even, I thought, since it looked dated enough to make me wonder. It definitely looks like a low-budget drama. Even the date 1996 surprised me after I looked it up on Wikipedia. So that's why I assume it's a bit low budget. If I had known, I would not have bought it, of course, because what I wanted to see was the 2013 Japanese version known as "Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo" before I saw the Korean version (also sold under the title "Mischievous Kiss").It's my fault because I should have looked more closely into what I was actually purchasing, I know.I thought that if I posted this clarification,though, it mayhelp someone else avoid making the same mistake! :)

For Kotoko it is love at first sight or should I say first kiss. For him this was not even worth giving any thought to.Years pass and one day Kotoko plucks up the courage to give Irie a confession letter about her love for him. Irie ignores and rejects her in front of everyone at school. She is crushed. When her fathers house burns down they move in with his best friend. Unfortunately, it turns out be Irie's house also. This is both a nightmare and a dream for her.Irie's mother loves Kotoko and really wants them to marry. The two fathers like the idea too. But will it happen? Can Kotoko unfreeze this super genius heart and teach him about true love? Will he discover that there is actually more to a person than their IQ?CommentsI actually read the reviews before purchasing this drama and appreciated the warning that this is actually not the version I was originally looking for. I have watched this drama in all countries and all versions that have been mad so far. I judged it as a seperate drama and not based on the other versions.ProThis drama version actually has Kotoko and Irie kissing quiet a few times throughout the show. It actually adds to the belief that maybe this could be a more realistic version of their story.ConI feel like they gave the actress the directions to be over the top loud and annoying.But all in all it was a great drama and the actor who played Irie was amazing. The little brother was one of the cutest child actors. But don't expect a wedding or more than a implied by the final scene happy ending. I did have an issue with a defective disc. Sellers will usually be able to replace defective ones if asked and the drama is not out of print. Remember to ask sellers questions about their sets. I hope this helps you decide. This anime series and live action version is very good no complaints on that !!but I will give this 2 stars because I just can't understand why Amazon is allowing these people or seller's to rack up the price so high where no one can afford it it's obvious no one's going to buy this anime at these high original prices get a clue.

There is more of this same movie hope to have them all.

It's cute, but the anime is better and the Taiwanese adaptation is 10000000 times better.Personally, I wouldn't recommend this version of the tale. Not saying it's not good just there's definitely better and with it being pretty much the same as the others but with more of a rushed? feel to it.
