Not Sweet and Sour Sauce, this is A Savory for Sure
This is for a twelve-pack of bottles that are very large (24 oz bottles), easily enough for a while chicken or maybe even a small turkey or 12-16 (if not more) pieces of bone-in meat. Each will marinate a few meals for my family. This was a huge hit with my family and is something that I will be keeping an eye out for sure for ordering more of, which we are in more danger of than you would think with 12 large bottles. This is a fantastic marinade, for not only chicken but also other types of proteins, especially for those who love sweet and savory, this is a great blend. It would go really well with beef or tofu. Now note, this is a Savory, meaning it isn't just going to be sweet with a bit of a kick. There is Soy Sauce in here, it isn't overall salty from the Soy Sauce, it helps to cut a lot of the sugar that is in this and the Garlic and Red Pepper. This isn't something that I found to be overly spicy either. If I was cooking for myself, I would add more red pepper and garlic. As much as Goya isn't one that you would think of for a base of an Asian marinade, that is what this is. This could easily be used as a base for a lot of recipes in Filipino cooking. The best thing to do is marinade your protein of choice in a bag with the sauce overnight. Then cook via your desired method. We got this just in time for one last grill session, but it will be just as good in a pressure cooker, slow cooker, or baked. It works well with added green peppers, some pineapple, and a little bit of onion. They give the nutritional information as a single serving by the teaspoon which hides the true amount of sugar that is in this. However, it is beneficial for measuring it when you are not using the full amount of the bottle. The primary item is Pineapple Juice (from concentrate) which is where the primary sugar comes from. They also add in Brown Sugar and Honey as well. This tastes great, but as I said, the sugar content is high.

A little salty, a little sweet, a lot tasty!
It is often difficult finding a marinade that the entire family can agree on. My husband likes spicy (the rest of us don't) and the kids like... well, blandness, LOL! They don't like a lot of spices or weird flavors in anything they eat. I wasn't sure how they would react to the Goya Mojo Pineapple marinade but it was a HANDS DOWN HIT!!!I marinated a large package of boneless, skinless chicken breasts overnight so that they could really absorb those flavors. It makes a big difference IMO!So far, we have tried chicken on the grill and also baked in the oven using this marinade. It has turned out mouth wateringly delicious both ways! The chicken stays tender and juicy. We tried it with pork, as well. (also marinated overnight) It was tasty, too, but we did prefer the pairing of flavors with chicken over pork. The taste of the marinade is surprisingly subtle so if you have picky kids, it may still be worth trying it. It has the saltiness and flavor of soy sauce with a mild sweetness from the pineapple. It isn't sickening sweet whatsoever and isn't spicy at all. While it does contain some chili pepper, it wasn't hot. (if it was, believe me, the kids would notice and hate it!!!) You get a hint of garlic in there, as well. If you are looking for sweet and spicy, you are going to have to add in your own kick!

Not incredibly flavorful
I wasn't a huge fan of the flavor of this. Being as it's such a large pack I was hoping that I was going to get something that I could utilize in large settings. But I still have to supplement the flavor with something else. I was looking for something that didn't have a lot of sodium and this tended to deliver but as stated the flavor really isn't there.

Delicious flavor! A new family favorite!
Since this Goya Foods Mojo Marinade Pineapple arrived, I've used it for dinner each night (ok, it's only been two days so far).We had takeout food the first night, and I had a bowl with rice, greens, sauteed tofu, and vegetables. I added some of this marinade, and the flavor was wonderful with the rice and tofu!Tonight, we had soy curls with air fried delicata squash and salad. We hydrated the soy curls, pan fried them with a little extra virgin olive oil, and then added the Goya marinade. I let them cook a while, so that the sauce could caramelize and the soy curls would brown. Everyone went back for an extra serving!I love the combination of sweet pineapple and salty soy sauce."Pineapple Juice from Concentrate (Water, Pineapple Concentrate), Soy Sauce, (Water, Wheat, Soybeans, Salt and Sodium Benzoate as Preservative), Brown Sugar, Water, Honey, Apple Cider Vinegar, Salt, Granulated Garlic, Chili Pepper, White Pepper, Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Benzoate as Preservatives."I thought having twelve bottles of this might prove difficult to use all of them. After trying it, I am sure we can use it all! It's yummy!! Very highly recommend!!

Delicious Marinade - Great as Is, Even Better When Extra Garlic Added
The Goya Foods Mojo Marinade Pineapple is a tasty marinade that adds a good sweet and savory punch to your proteins. The sauce is very similar to Asian-style marinades in that it's not too sweet or salty. The marinade is thin, similar to a soy sauce marinade, but it imparts a lot of flavor when allowed to marinate, particularly overnight. You don't need marinate for that long though, and I found that even a short 20-minute marinade was enough to impart a lot of flavor. The sauce can be baked or braised with, and if you want to give your stir fry a sweet and savory flavor, you can even use it in place of soy sauce. It doesn't work quite as well as glaze unless you boil it off or add cornstarch to thicken it. The sauce is very good by itself, but I found it even more delightful when you add a good helping of garlic to it. It's a tasty and easy-to-use marinade that I would purchase again.
