I’m not an elderly lady or wanting to dress up like Norman Bates mother from’Psycho’ for a fancy dress party!.I just wanted a really pretty old fashioned Victorian style nightdress.And this one caught my eye.I was looking more towards just a plain white one but the pretty pink flowers are a nice touch and make it more feminine .I’ve always loved these kind of nighties.Like when you watch movies set in old times.And they’ve got on the long floaty frilly white nighties.Like in all the old Hammer House movies when she’s lying in bed with the window open waiting for Dracula to come!.Everybody mainly wear PJs or long t shirts these days but sometimes I prefer to wear a nightgown.Just more comfy for me. Loose,light and airy.I loved this one so much I ordered it in blue and will probably order another one if they have another colour.Since it’s 100% cotton it’s the exact material a nightgown like this should be. I hate those nylon ones you get in a lot of nighties. Uncomfortable, cheap feeling,make you sweat and can crackle with static! not to mention fire hazardous and can feel like you’re wearing a hospital gown!.It’s a kind of old fashioned look and super comfy and at 100%cotton it’s beautifully soft and good quality But it does feel nice and has a stretch to it.The white frilly bib and matching ribbon gives it the Victorian nightgown look.A few reviewers complained that it wasn’t long enough and that may very well be.I am 5”4 and on me it comes down to the bottom of my ankles.So I’m not very tall,if you are taller than this and want it long,this probably isn’t for you. But on me it comes down almost to the floor.So loose and airy I wear it around the house and to bed at night. It just makes you feel all girly,pretty and feminine when you have it on!.Totally recommend.Enjoy!. X

Pretty old fashioned nightdress, material very thin and comes up very small for an xxxl I would say more an xl. I think expensive too. I brought for a fancy dress for the granny in red riding hood so kept it but wanted bigger and thicker

I bought one of these, I loved it that much I bought another two... however the blue fits beautifully but the pink n the lilac are a smaller fit😞

I ordered a large size asI I like nighties to be roomy and long so it met my expectations. I now have three of them and accept they are not the quality previously purchased from M&S.However they wash well and dry quickly without creases.My only negative was the embroidery round the yoke which required to be stitched in when threads became loose ,on two occasions.
