Acerbis 2141970001 Super Moto X-Strong Black Handguard

I struggled to fit standard Enduro Handguards on my KTM 690 SMC with Renthal FatBars. My issue was my Nissin radial master cylinder and the clearance around it. These Acerbis Handguards were designed for just this issue. They will fit dang-near any bike with bars. The aluminum guard is also much lighter than other models; a perfect addition to a Supermoto.My recommendations for installation would be:1. The kit comes with adapters for the inner mounts. Pre-fit these adapters and then loosely install the inner mounts.2. Slide the Handguards onto the end of the bar and loosely bolt them to the inner mount.3. You'll have a bit of flex to adjust the fitment of the adapters against the bar. Patiently tighten the inner mount bolts while adjusting the position of the inner mounts to make the best possible contact between the bar and inner mount adapters.4. Snug up the bar end bolts and check final fit.These were the easiest to install Handguards of the two other brands I tried. Bravo Acerbis for having a great product.UPDATE: nearly 1.5 years later I put these hand guards to use. Took a low side during a track day and had not damage to my expensive master cylinder or bar. The slider on the outside of the handguard took the brunt of it but the guards didn't rotate at all and didn't need any adjusting. I picked the bike up and rode for 3 more hours. Still no issues. Simply the best set of hand guards you can buy for your supermoto.

After trying several, inferior, brands for my kids' supermoto bikes, these are THE ones that work. They fit beautifully, install easily and protect hands and controls in a crash. Both boys have crashed their bikes since installation and have been able to pick up their bikes and continue racing. With a few inexpensive parts they look like new and are back to protecting my kids and their bikes.We just got new bikes for the 2019 season and these hand guards are the first item on the list for purchase.

Just installed on my 2014 Honda NC700X in less than 30 mins. Also note you can use the stock bar end weights and it still looks good. Genuinely happy with this product even though the price seems a smidge high for two aluminum bars and some plastic pieces. Oh well.

Glad I got these! Fell 4x times after installing these for my first off road adventure on a DRZ 400 SM with only minor scratches. If you’re going off road, you’re definitely gonna wanna pick up a pair. Easy installation, flexible mountability and great protection. Probably saved my levers a couple of times, and that’s my first trip!

They really need to improve something as basic as the screws on the mounting hardware

Awesome handguards; took a little long to ship but the guards themselves I have no complaints about. I was a little worried that they may not fit my Husaberg FS570 although these are known to be universal. But, they bolted right up and have held on strong for a few rides so far. Luckily, have not crashed with them on or banged them into anything but they seem sturdy so I'm sure they'll hold up fine.

These worked great on my 2013 KTM 690 SMCR stock tapered bars. The kit came with aluminum bar spacers to adapt to misc size bars. See attached photos. You can see bar spacers installed where hand guards clamp to tapered portion of bars. Good quality product and replacement plastics were available (hand guard and bar end sliders) directly from Acerbis if needed.

Work great on the supermoto. Recommend ordering Cycra handguard mounts, because the standoff on the mounts that are included are simply too large to look right. Other than that, great quality you come to expect from Acerbis.
