I liked this book
I liked this book. It was s good story about prejudice and the entitlement of a privileged class of people based on looks. A great take on our society without the minefield of race. Redheads are the privileged class and one redhead who passes by dyeing her hair leans how non redheads are just like her and that the world is much bigger and more diverse than she ever knew.

Sooooo Good!
I am a natural redhead, and I have 2 daughters who are also redheads. Interestingly enough, my little sister is a "Strawbie" - which is a hilarious name, in my opinion. This book intrigued me, mostly because of the redheads, but the premise is what prompted me to purchase it. Bullying and prejudices are very real, and I feel like "Red" addresses this in a very interesting way. You don't need to be a redhead to enjoy this amazing book. I loved it!

Clear, simple prose in a YA novel
Refreshing, simple and filled with both recognizable standards of high school life and the new features of what you find today - the only thing that stretches credibility is the idea of discrimination by hair color...and even that isn't hard to believe. This is a first book? Great debut.

fun Teen summer read.
Had all the drama of high school and all the angst of youth while dealing with adult topics through the veil of hair color. Worth the read for any teen girl.

Goofy
Kind of good, kind of silly. A girl realizing that how others see her is not the defining thing in life and it how you really see yourself. An interesting read.

A nice story
Overall it was a really nice story, the written style was good. Sadly it didn't used all the possibilities it had. But anyway, it's a great book for a trip to the beach or something like that. Very girly and easy read.

wishing for red hair now
This books is just amazing. It is a totally reverse of roles in the day in of where you get laughed at for red hair in primary school. Just remember it's just cells just because of a colour doesn't mean you can't do what you dream.
