I have NEVER had a company reach out to me after a product has been delivered to ask if the items arrived as described, and undamaged. That in itself puts Smarlin above every other aquarium company because they cared enough to ask if all was well after I received the product. Due to rough handling during shipping, a few of the leaves had fallen off during the first shipment, but I loved the product so much that I already put one in my tank (NOTE: the plant in the pictures of my tank came in the first shipment). I did let Smarlin know about the fallen leaves. They sent me a replacement for free, which is incredible. The second shipment was perfect. Not a single leaf had fallen.The leaves on this plant and the height of the plant make it the best betta bed ever! My betta absolutely loves sleeping on the top leaves, and resting in the middle. The leaves are very big, and all parts of the plant are soft. Even the “spikes” at the bottom are NOT sharp or rough in any way. I am going to be putting the new plants in my second tank!!For the size, the quality, and the service, the is above and beyond the best product and company for your aquarium!!! I highly reccommend. Your fish will thank you!

PROS:1. Good value for the price. Not cheap looking.2. Heavy weighted base so they don’t float3. Leaves themselves are a flexible plastic. The green grass at the bottom looks sharp but it’s actually soft. However, within the green grass there are very hard/sharp pieces of plastic (more on that below)4. Stems can be bent for directional placement5. Very tall. Bettas like when the leaves are at or a little above water level to rest and not have to swim far for air.CONS:1. Very strong chemical smell. This means it releases gases of toxins in the water. Which your fish will ingest.2. Green grass at base has some very-very hard sharp plastic pieces that sliced my betta's bottom fin into two pieces. Simply tapping my finger on these were very sharp to my finger.4. Stringy glue was found throughout the green grass it looks like fine pieces of hair and loose glue bits that are also on the leaves that are also sharp. You wouldn’t want your fish to think it’s food and swallow glue.After injury to my betta after only 1 night in the tank, I removed them and they've been returned. These are not betta friendly. Too sharp of plastic pieces that can harm your fish. These have been returned and I found tall soft silk plants with no hard/sharp pieces in-store at a lower price.

Aquarium Plants Decoration,Artificial Plants for Fish Tank,10 Inches/25cm High,2 Pack. I bought these for my oto cats living in a 10-gallon tank with a lady betta friend. The size is just right for a lush 10-gallon, but they are big enough to be worthwhile contributions to any "long" tank. Otos love big, flat leaves, and bettas need betta-safe decor with no hard edges or points. These plants are perfect in every way. They have a very heavy base that is just the right height for the grass at the bottom to not get lost in the gravel. The stems are thick enough that the plants stay completely upright, even out of water. The leaves are firmly attached -- none came off of the stems, even in my clutzy hands, and even when the otos attach to them (which they love to do!). They look fairly natural, but the colors are bright enough that you could mix them with less-natural decor easily if you wanted to tone-down your neon tank a little. They cost more than I would normally pay for aquarium decor, but I don't regret it, because the quality is so good. I will definitely buy more of these next time I set up a new tank.

Maybe I’m just unlucky considering all the 5 star reviews this product has, but I felt kind of nervous about it from the start. When it arrived it had a really strong order, which I brushed off because it was a plastic plant that was shipped in the middle of summer in a hot box for a few days. There was a lot of loose glue on it, especially around the base. A few of the gravel rocks at the bottom just kind of brushed off. But I cleaned it up the best I could and put it in my betta tank and it looked amazing, and my fish enjoyed resting on the large leaves. A few days with the plants though and his fins are completely shredded. Definitely take caution if you’re putting this in a betta tank. I’m lucky my little guy is still alive after his battle with these plants.

I recently purchased the Aquarium Plants Decoration,Artificial Plants for Fish Tank,10 Inches/25cm High,2 Pack, and I (and my Betta- fishie, Nemo) are very happy & content. The item arrived promptly, nice quality (and "Betta Safe") which was something I was concerned & researched, & after washing the item off before placing it in the tank (safe measure) Nemo is happy with his new surroundings & has some places not only to hid or sleep when he desires, but the plan also serves as a buffer for the water coming from the filter as it otherwise may be too strong for a Betta, so I aim the nozzle into the leaves of the plant to help buffer the outspray into the tank.The Seller is friendly & concerned with the items they sell & stand behind their product (a rarity now a days) and I for one appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction, they offer a nice quality set of products at a reasonable price. I recommend both the items and the seller.

There is two things I have to say about this. I absolutely love the design and it’s very visually appealing. I love how the leaves look while it has a tuft of grass below, I’ve been looking for nice decor plants for these girls. Visually nice to see. But once I got it in the mail, the tops of the leaves fell of after I literally just opened the package? ( I didn’t open roughly either at all it just fell apart ) which was really disappointing. I dont really know what to do with the situation.. other than glueing each of the leaves on individually. :( look cool tho..
