a proud, not-handy do-it-yourselfer succeeded!
Twenty two years ago, I ordered a sweet little rustic wooden clock in the shape of a house, with a round face, from an artist at the New York Gift show. I had recently moved to the mountains of western North Carolina, and the clock's body was a natural fit for my new home. Of course, the batteries would periodically die, and they were easy enough to replace, all these many years. Then, a month ago, I had to replace the batteries twice within two weeks of one another; I absentmindly forgot about having so recently done so until the little clock finally completely stopped running. (From inspection, I saw that a battery had leaked acid, and was the likely reason). For 22 years, I have been very fond of this artisan time keeper, and was loathe to replace it with something ordinary and dull. I am no watch repair person, but I am a jewelry designer by trade, have worked with small needlenosed pliers, and felt that I could handle switching out the battery movements with a little online guidance. The most difficult part of this endeavor was measuring the hand shaft, to assure a proper fit. There is a clear protective domed face cover, and my former clock hands included a second hand, along with the hour and minute ones; due to the minuscule added length of the new replacement's hand shaft, this one hand sits too closely to the clear cover and won't properly move. Also, the square plastic shell of the battery movement body seemed to be the tiniest bit larger than the old one, and i had to force it into the clock's fitting behind the face. I also had to come up with my own adhesion for the battery movement box to stick to the back of the metal clock face. I've only just now completed doing all of this, but the hour and minute hands do seem to be moving along in accordance with proper time, thus far. Fingers crossed!!For $9.99 and free shipping, I now have my little house clock functioning up on the mantel once again. For the few short days it took the parts to get here, I drove myself crazy glancing up at the empty spot on the mantel 50 times a day (slow learner), and am hugely relieved to have that clock back in place! For those of you wanting to replace the battery guts for your own clock, just be sure to very carefully measure the length of the hand shaft, as well as the circumference; otherwise, you might end up with an incorrect fit and inoperable clock. For mine, I needed a very short shaft that would fit beneath the clear dome's cover, and the extra two or three dollars more were worth the additional expense. I ended up using my old hour and minute hands, without the second hand, and so far they seem to be working and are a good fit; the new box movements came with their own hands, but these would have been too long for my clock (easy enough to trim or file down, as the metal is thin, if you have this same problem). All of this wordiness is to say that I'm satisfied with both the new parts, with the relatively low price, with my Mcgiver-rigged adjustments, AND with having successfully (finally) gotten the clock up and running again after many, many years of faithful service. Don't be afraid to do this yourself!

Finally, i think my clock is working.
Make sure you check the item if its working before you send the order, it took me a while before i got a replacement and thats a waste of time.

Clock hands are TINY.
I ordered and received the Q-65 1/8 push on no bushing movement from you recently. However, the hands that were included were so TINY that they look ridiculous on my clock face. The hole on my hour hand from the old movement was too big to fit on the new one. So, I was happy to order some larger hands for but the shipping cost is $6.62 for Snail mail! ! SERIOUSLY?? For an item costing .65 cents? The actual cost of shipping can't be over a $1 I also hesitate because I do not even know if the movement that I purchased will last a week or month which has been the case in the past with replacing clock movements. I am a disappointed customer.

Perfect replacement for clock motor
The seller shipped this very quickly. I think I had this within a few days of placing the order.I had to replace a dead clock motor and this worked perfectly. My clock has a 5 inch diameter, so the hands that came with the motor were slightly too large. I used my existing ones and my second hand. Although the clock doesn't come with a second hand, it does have a place for it to attach on the top. These were press-on hands and they fit snugly. I'm very pleased with how well this worked.

It works
I needed a 3/8 length shaft and had a hard time finding one to fit. This one does but I had to trim the minute hand down a little because it was to long and make a few adjustments. It works ok and I can keep my Apple clock. I think this was my fourth try at fixing it and was going to just throw it away but it works great now and I am happy I could fix it.

This Movement is the Exact Replacement for the Howard Miller Tide Mate Clock
I purchased a broken Howard Miller Tide Clock on eBay for $30.00. This clock new sells for about $100.00. The quartz time mechanism was broken/defective. All I did was remove the clock bezel, removed the hands, and removed the clock mechanism from the back. This quartz movement is the exact replacement for the Tide Mate Clock. So for about $40.00, I now have a $100.00, functioning Howard Miller Tide Clock.

Short stem, and does not use nuts to secure movement - good!
This clock movement was just what I was looking for but could not find locally. This clock does not use nuts to hold the movement to the face, the hole in the clock face is too large to accommodate nuts. The movement snaps into place on the back of the face. All the movements in local hobby shops (and most online) have nuts to attach the movement. This clock also needed a very short stem; other movements have relatively long stems. So this Quartex movement was a perfect fit replacement as far as fitting the old clock face goes. The only issue is the old hands do not fit this movement, and the minute hand that came with this movement was too long. Just snipped a piece of the end of the hand off to make it short enough to fit inside the clock face, not noticeable at all. The old hands could prolly be modified to fit, I just didn't take the time to go that route.

was easy to put on.
i bought for an old clock that was 20 years old and although it wasn't the exact replacement it worked. the hands are a bit to small that come with this model but it worked well.
