Philips 211938 11/23/34W 50/100/150-watt 2700K 3-Way Twister CFL Light Bulb

I pulled the bulb out of the package and it was MUCH larger than expected. Upon checking, there was no way it would fit my lamp. I was disappointed.Then, as I was going to put the bulb away, I found two plastic pieces in a little baggie in the box with no instructions or mention of what they are anywhere on the package. I looked at them for a few seconds before I realized what they were, adapters! I'm taking a picture and uploading it as a customer image so everyone can see what I mean, and how they look installed. I have a really generic lamp, and they seem to work fine. They're far enough away from the bulb that they shouldn't be affected by heat.The bulb works well and definitely puts off a lot of light on the highest setting.

takes a while to warm up for it to reach full brightness....so you tend to switch it brighter when you turn it on by clicking up the notches in the three way.

For sure bigger than an A21/150W incandescent. You'll want a 10inch or bigger lampshade harp. A 9 might fit if you take it off every time you unscrew the bulb. My old harp was an 8in. Came with 1inch plastic harp extenders that'll get you though.

Bulb is way too big and did not fit under the harp of the lampshade. They do provide little adapters to make your lampshade harp sit wider on the lamp, but it's not stable. I was able to push the lampshade and it bounced around and popped back up. I decided to return it and now cannot get the plastic adapter off my favorite lamp.

We've been using this in a three way lamp for a couple of months now, and so far it works fine. The brightness is good!!

This is a great 3-way light bulb for any 3-way lamp. It gives off a soft white warm light at 50-100-150 watts. At its max of 150-watts, it can provide sufficient light for working after dusk. At its 50-watt setting, it gives a low brightness to give ambient light to watch TV late at night, or help transition you to sleep. Recommended.

This bulb furnishes great light on all three settings, and after over a year of use is still going strong. Warm-up time seems minimal, however, due to its height the fork holding the lamp shade must be modified. A pair of plastic "adapters" is included but the fit is so flimsy the shade does not want to sit correctly and actually wants to "dance around." I still like the CFL bulbs but will move on to the newer LED's, hopefully they will be worth the price.
