UTG4.2" ITA Red/Green CQB Dot with QD Mount, Riser Adaptor

I purchased this sight to sit on top of my Aimsports Quad rail on my wood stock 10/22. After about 20 rounds I had it sighted in to 50 yards and it stayed dead on. The sight picture is clear and wide, and the dot is very visible. One of the great things is that this sight comes with red and green options. As I was shooting up to and past dusk, being able to switch the light over was great.This light IS very bright, but not distracting. Even the lowest setting is visible in daylight. The adjustment knobs are very easy to access, but can be a little tough to turn at first. I believe it came with a two-prong tool to adjust the clicks, but on my day to the range I forgot it and just used my Leatherman instead. The inside of the adjustment knob is only aluminum, and soft at that. It can gouge pretty easily if you do not us the tool to turn the dial. However, I found that gripping the outer edges of the knob with the Leatherman worked fine because the edges are harder metal.The QD mount is very solid and works great, and the flip up lens caps are very high quality (but are also removable if you want).BONUS: I bought this sight along with "Magpul PTS MBUS Front & Rear Back-Up Sight Set Black Color Polymer"...They are inexpensive but good quality flip up sights that co-witness with this sight perfectly.I absolutely recommend this sight. It's a great package for a great price.

Nice red / green dot sight at a good price. First I did like that it was both a red and green dot sight just to have the dual functionality. The construction is of good quality with a good mount for a rail. This provides a clear sighting for the user and holds it zero very well after it has been sighted in. I have so far only used with 5.56 / .223 rifle and it holds up well and functions without issue. The finish on the sight is also good and it looks right in place on top of the rifle.Unlike some I am not going to go and compare a $50 red dot sight to a $500+ one, if your standards require the high end one you would likely never be happy with the lower cost version. From my perspective for the price of this and the quality of the materials / finish and functionality you are getting good value for your money and I know I am happy with the purchase.

Don’t let the negative reviews push you away from this red dot. Great product for the 99% of us that aren’t in the service. Sure there are more expensive options like EOTECH and Vortex but you don’t need to spend that kind of cash to achieve the same thing. This product is just fine for a backyard shooter. If you plan on jumping out of planes and going into combat, pony up and buy the EOTECH or similar. This is my 4th UTG optic on 4 different weapon systems and I haven’t had an issue with a single one. This glass is clear, the dot is a dot, it’s small and bright enough for outdoor use (use green in bright light). I paired this with the UTG 3X Magnifier on my .300 blackout pistol build. Quick attach is awesome and holds firm. People that stated it’s difficult to attach must be brain dead. This is so easy to attach to a pic rail and lock down. Yes I’ve been to the range with it and yes it’s simple to zero and holds it’s zero. Easy to lock the adjustment knobs too. Right out of the box it was only 1” high at 50yds. Literally took 6 shots to dial this in. Nickel sized groups. Planning to get that out to 100yds + but it’s f’kn cold out and don’t feel like freezing at the outdoor range. I’ll wait until spring. If you’re on the fence about spending hundreds for a similar optic I’d recommend trying this out first. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the quality UTG provides at stupid affordable prices. If you hate it, you’re only out a few bucks. Only gets 4 stars from me because the adjustable light intensity seems to either only be bright or dim. Not much in between. Not a big deal though.

UPDATE June 5:Spent some time trying to get the mount ironed out and the more I worked with it, the more frustrated I became. I thought that I could overcome the problem with the quick release lever by tightening up the adjustment screw a bit, but if I tighten it enough to hold it snugly, it is a bear to get on and off. The adjustment screw is now getting stripped, and the included allen wrench no longer fits tightly.I am really, really disappointed with the mount. I love the scope itself, but the mount sucks. If I could get a mount with a regular knob style tightener, I would do that in a heartbeat. As it is, I am now looking for another red dot, and not happy that I wasted 45 dollars.I have a set of UTG AR style iron sights, and they have the knob style tightener. They work great and actually go on and off the gun faster than this "quick release." They also stay on and stay tight.The mount does come off the scope, so I will contact UTG and see if I can get a real mount to fit it. Otherwise, I am tempted to switch to another brand.UPDATE, MAY 31:Ran into two problems during prolonged (130 + rounds) shooting at the range. Front cap broke on being hit sideways, and not very hard at all. Mounts for cap are plastic, and shattered very easily. Not happy about flimsy caps. Cap no longer stays in place - too loose a fit without the spring latch to hold it.Also had problems with the "easy on" mount not staying tight. Shooting mostly .357 magnum and 38 special, recoil loosened mount very quickly until I finally torqued the mount down pretty hard with an allen wrench after snugging the lever down completely.I don't like the mount. The rotating handle type mounts work far better, and I would trade this "easy, quick" mount in a heartbeat. It is neither easy nor quick, if you want it on tight. I have a set of iron sights (AR style) from UTG whose screw-on mounts work much, much better.Subtracting a star for mount problem (don't really expect great lens caps for this price).Not really sure about accuracy. Had a lot of problems with this scope today, and switched back to iron sights for much better results. Will try again another day and see if I can get the quirks ironed out.*************************************************************************************************I am new to shooting, and I wanted to try a red dot scope to see if I liked it better than iron sights on my 12 gauge.I haven't had time to test it at the range yet, but in sighting it in against a bore sight laser, I found it fairly easy to adjust both the brightness, windage, and elevation.I like the dual set screws in the windage and elevation knobs, and found that they snugged down nicely after adjustment.The installation and use is fairly straightforward, but the instructions could be better at explaining how to remove the riser if you want it to be lower profile. After I removed the riser, I found that it co-witnessed pretty well with the UTG AR style iron sights I had used previously.I will update this review after I put ti through its paces at the range, but even for a newbie like me, it seems pretty easy and straightforward.

E' Impressa la marcatura CE. Si nota il trattamento delle lenti ed il punto rosso funziona alla perfezione sia nel colore rosso che verde ed è sufficiente luminoso per essere ben visibile in piena luce. Le regolazioni sono facili e veloci e le torrette possono essere azionate senza l'uso del cacciavite, con la possibilità di blocco con vite. lo sto installando su una carabina Ar15 in 0.223, vedremo al poligono se manterrà le tarature dopo una prova a fuoco.

I love this scope. Its on my .22LR M4 and it looks the part, works perfectly. The dot is crisp, small and smooth unlike other sights in this price band where the dot looks splattered, great adapters included if needed along with lens cap covers. Really is a great product for the money. No need to spend more.I have only used this once and i am hoping that when I go back to the range it hasn't lost its zero like some other branded scopes I have tried in the past. Up until now, brilliant and definitely recommend.

Matériel de très bonne facture. La construction semble assez robuste. Simple d'utilisation. Point rouge ou vert à intensité variable. Le réglage de l'élévation et de la dérive est facile et nécessite une clef Allen qui est fournie. Le viseur se fixe sur un rail type Picatinny à l'aide d'un levier de fixation rapide. Une seconde clef Allen est fournie pour régler la force de fermeture du système de fixation. Un rehausseur est également fourni. Il permet la fixation vers l'avant ou vers l'arrière du support, l'utilisation du magnifier UTG 3x Swatforce avec fonction Flip-to-Side et aussi le montage sur un AR15 sans que le guidon d'origine ne gêne la visée.

Versand schnell und ohne Probleme.Das Visier ist aus Metall und macht einen Hochwertigen Eindruck.Die Klappen kann man abmachen und getrost bei Seite legen, so lange es auf andere Weise vor Dreck geschützt ist. Auf einer Kurzwaffe sehen die Klappen einfach nur doof aus.Die Erhöungsschine braucht man für eine Kurzwaffe auch eher nicht. Man könnte sie aber trotzdem später mal gebrauchen wenn man es auf eine Langwaffe montiert.Der Punkt ist bei mir auf kurze Distanzen nicht ganz scharf. Da ich aber keinen Vergleich habe und auch nicht weiß ob das an meinen Augen liegt ziehe ich keinen Punkt ab. Auf größere Entfernung wird er aber besser. Problem ist das keines da der Punkt ja nur auf dem Ziel liegen muss und nicht unbedingt scharf sein muss.
