Love These Cards--Two Languages and Plus in One Package
We love these cards. My little girl has been gaining knowledge in English, Polish (added in by me) and Spanish at the same time with this portable, functional and inexpensive product. It is working very well, because she is a beginner reader in three languages at 22 months. I love their size, having pictures and sharing the names of the objects they represent in multiple languages. We use them in conjunction with Speekee DVD/CD Set, Hola Amigos 3-DVD set, Lyric Language Spanish Bilingual Live-Action DVD & CD Set, various Whistlefritz DVD/CD's, Verbos Flash Cards and bilingual books. They could be a little bit thicker though.

Great for Spanish labeling fun...
This is a neat flash card set - it focuses only on items around the house. The photos are large and easy to see, and the cards themselves are quite large (ours got bent, though, fairly easily) the box is sturdy, so that's a plus as well. The huge drawback is that there's no phonetic spelling on any of the cards or in a list anywhere. I haven't ever found a flash card set that fulfilled all the Spanish requirements I have for flash cards in my classes or at home (sturdy box, meaningful words, photos, not cartoons, Spanish only on ONE side, and PHONETIC spelling.) Trend products do come the closest, though... Finally, after five years of looking, we finally created a set ourselves.Of course we're biased, so this set is definitely worth owning if you children are 5 and up, and don't bend cards, and you can read Spanish without a problem with pronunciation.Sra. If you can read, these aren't helpful
The main problem with these words is that the Spanish is listed right beneath the photo. I like the photos and the fact that the English and Spanish are on the reverse side, but there's no possibility to drill your students (or yourself!) because the answer is looking at you!Home Picture Words, ISBN 1587920794, is better.
