This is a beautiful all metal lamp with a black satin like finish. A simple touch on the rocker switch instantly turns it on or off. You do not have to worry about it falling over because the lower portion has sufficient weight. You supply the two bulbs; it takes two 15 watt bulbs almost 18 inches long. These are the cool white style. Finally, the fluorescent lamp is shipped in a carefully designed box so that it will be in perfect condition when it arrives. It is a great lamp for the price and should last a long time.

This desk lamp was not assembled. It arrived in the box in many different pieces. I sent it back.

Great lamp, and very well made. I bought the first one in 2007 for the office and it has been working flawlessly ever sense. I also recently purchased a second one for my home office.

Great lighting and durable

I love this desk lamp. I have an older model chestnut brown with push button switches (black and red). It has been dependable for years and with the exception of a few scratches on the enamel paint, it still looks brand new. The style hasn't changed over the years. Just recently the canopy came apart from conduit-like part of the stand, but being a handyman It was easily fixed by removing the inside white aluminum reflector using several putty knives to lift it out of the canopy. Not very many moving parts. So basically it is a simple lamp, with fairly good lighting, and can be easily repaired by a DIYer.
