I love the uniqueness to the bags. I'm always looking for bag ideas featuring quilt blocks. This book offers a variety of blocks that transforms my bag making.

A delightful book, even if you are not doing any of the specific projects you get lots of ideas on how to piece together your own designs, which for me was the most important feature. I gave four stars instead of five because the kindle version lacks a table of content for easy navigation which is always tiresome. still the content of the book is a fiver! there is also a chapter about quilting basics that i found very interesting since I came to patchwork through a very crooked back door and I really lack the first notions!

I really enjoyed this book. I made the portfolio for my daughter who is an art teacher and she loved it. I checked the book out from the library and didn't need to buy it when I made it, but liked it so much that I thought I should add it to my permanent library.

Even tho I have made many patchwork purses and such, it was a very good book; especially for your library.

I had such high hopes for this instructional book on sewing bags based on the positive reviews, but was I ever disappointed! After perusing the book, I found only ONE bag that even remotely interested me. I have more of a classical/traditional design style with a hint of modern twist and this book simply did not fit that bill. Please, don't waste your money on this one.

This is a lovely book, I've made a few of the designs and used others as a starting point for my own designs, the instructions and illustrations work together well to help you create beautiful and practical bags.I can't find fault with it,and quite often pick it up to read in bed, it's a wonderful jumping off point for your own ideas, as well as a good guide to bag making.

Very informative and inspiring. Good detailed pictures and step by step guides for various methods. Lovely ideas for designs and details of fabrics and tools required. Had this as a library book for two weeks and then bought it. Must have for beginner or experienced person alike.
