Authentic, works great
While I kind of wish we had a homeline panel (The breakers are so much less expensive), our house used to be a commercial space, so our panels are QO. The silver lining is that these things are high quality, virtually bomb-proof - you definitely get what you pay for. The screws are easy to set with a properly sized bit and torque wrench, and all the conductors are of good quality. There's nothing at all that feels flimsy or dubious. I've seen a couple people complain about how dirty they are, but these people must never have gone to a big box store or even to an electrical supply because that kind of thing happens.

Works great but make sure your breaker is QO!
Most residential boxes use a different breaker, however my FIL’s box uses QO breakers. The price was much better here than the local hardware store. Breaker works great

Incomplete
Missing a security clip on the back on arrival. Still worked, but I had to borrow a clip from an unused breaker i had on an unused breaker.

Protecting home electronics
This highly rated item was easy to install and hopefully it will stop appliance and furnace breakdowns due to electrical surges. I had a circuit board go out on my furnace last summer, it had a burnt splotch on the back of the board. I can't say for sure what caused it, but it cost me $700 to repair. A lot of people think electrical surges come from the utility that serves them. Although that's true when we have outages and power gets restored, there's more to surges than just that. Every time a high amperage appliance is turned on, the initial startup produces a surge that backfeeds into your circuit breaker panel and spreads that surge to all the other circuits in your home. Your furnace fan that comes on with your heat and air, your washer and dryer, anything with a high current draw produces electrical surges, even larger surges if those appliances are all electric. These surges are especially damaging to costly items like TV's and computers whose circuitry is low voltage, low amperage. This piece of equipment costs far less than replacing a TV damaged by an electrical surge and it helps protect everything electrical in your home.
