Interesting but difficult to achieve without a breathing device
There are a lot of books now on the buteyko method. This is one you need so you don`t have to buy all the rest which are similar. The method is explained in this book though it is suggested that you hardly can get to breath in this way so you will need to buy a buteyko breathing device. So a bit dissapointed.I practiced the method and the breathing according the book but it is difficult to get to the count he suggests. I noticed an improvement in getting a more peaceful state but not in general health. I haven't tried the device yet.

A Definitive Buteyko resource
This book is quite comprehensive yet easy to read. I have read many books on Buteyko breathing but they don't contain many of the concepts in this book. This is a very good book for anyone who wants to gets to into Buteyko or is already doing Buteyko. It is remarkeably inexpensive considering its contents. I highly recommend it!

Excellent resource
Dr Rakhimov is the foremost researcher in the area of Buteyko breathing. In this book he shares with us his extensive knowledge on the subject. He has also taught the method successfully to many people with a variety of conditions and backgrounds. Again he shares a wealth of information based on his practical experience. As a former teacher myself, I would recommend this book for all serious students and Buteyko teachers.

Essential reading for everyone seeking better health
If you believe, like me, that breathing is the most important activity in our lives this book will be for you.The author has distilled decades of practical experience and a deep scientific understanding of breath training for better oxygenation and better health into this concise clear and inspiring (please excuse the pun!) book.I must admit a vested interest in the subject as I have trained as a Buteyko educator and osteopath and have spent three decades trying to encourage mainstream medicine to put health promotion back into medicine. There are many simple things we can all learn to do that will enhance our health and protect us from disease, learning to breathe better is perhaps the most rewarding and amazing of them all.Enjoy this book and breathe gently!

Beneficial Techniques
Many people would find life-changing benefits from using Buteyko exercises, and it is a shame that they are not more widely known or recommended by medical professionals.Rakhimov's books are in-depth, scientifically referenced yet accessible for the general public. He provides a significant contribution towards expanding awareness of the health dangers of over-breathing, and how these Buteyko exercises can transform damaging breathing practises.

Save my life
I have COPD. Last year was increasingly hard for me to breath, because I live in a tropical place and in summer the humidity increases so much and also we have storms coming constantly so the barometric pressure goes down making very difficult my breathingSo I really need to do something about it and start practicing these exercises seriously. Instead of looking for oxygen therapy. It was very hard because my cp was like 15 seconds. Now I feel a lot better after practicing over a year my morning control pause is over 30 seconds, and I can hold my breath for a maximum pause of over 70 seconds. I also changed my diet to a keto diet and I think both things have make my life better. And still I don't need oxygen.
