I bought these as I have had shoes from northwest before and they have survived miles of walking on rough surfaces and being taken through wet areas and they still perform really well after many years, and the reason I purchased new ones was the soles had worn down but the shoe is still really comfy.So here is the bad thing Northwest changed the design and made the front of the shoe more rigid and the rear of the shoe now causes blisters, over all the shoe is now very uncomfortable.
