Squiggles was designed to remove what we have called "Squiggles" which defined as "each of two twisted membranous strips joining the yolk to the ends of the shell, when the egg is cracked they bundle up together and create the 3rd part of the egg, the Squiggles or Chalaza. Why would I WANT to remove a Chalaza. Well the product was originally created to remove and discard the Chalaza because it makes the aesthetic appearance of a perfect egg, with an imperfection.. the squiggles. Once it is removed then the egg would be used in typical cooking. As the product was developed, we found out that commercially, most eggs are separated into 3 parts for purity; the yolk, the white and the chalaza. This has been implemented for the past 100 years in mass egg food production facilities.They package the chalaza parts in bulk and distribute in grocery store, often found in the ethnic food section or you can commonly find them in the world food centers sold for cooking use. So we will not judge you from removing it to discard, nor will we judge you if your removing it to make a more pure recipe, or you have possibly discovered the next super food product that uses the Squiggles and is going to take over the world. For easy yolk removal, simply detach the bulb and separate the yolk from the egg white. ** We recommend using medium sized eggs for best results.
