Math for 2nd Grade Workbook - 200 Essential Math Skills (Reading Eggs)

We have not used this book yet but are huge fans of the reading eggs program. When the books first came out I was interested but the price made me hesitate. I wanted to help other parents out by posting pictures of this book to help you decide and while flipping through I am pleased.We homeschool our kids and they both love reading eggs and math seeds. This book is designed to work with the computer program and shows you which lessons correlate with each map. You could completely use this book independently and have a very happy child. The exercises are not confusing and the colors are vibrant which my kids love. Since it is designed to work with the subscription program it is my guess that what seems like doesn’t get a lot of attention in the book probably has more time spent on it online.We use quite a few kumon and sylvan workbooks to supplement our math curriculum and I do feel that this work book is going to be more adept at covering more topics. There are 249 pages in this book so you are getting more than double a kumon book and there’s no comparison in the content quality of this book compared to a cheap scholastic work book that leaves huge gaps in content I feel.I will update this review as we work through the book with how both my children and myself feel about it.

We love the Math Seeds app, so I thought this would be great! My daughter has only done 10 pages, but we already found 2 print mistakes!! Like when you’re supposed to match up money or time on a clock, it was incorrect! Bummed I spent money for this, when it ended up being aggravating for my child.

The book came quickly. It seems to be a good book but behind the abeka curriculum with for learning to read.
