The shelf is well made and sturdy. My garage ceiling was not high enough to do both shelves and hang a bike. But even with one shelf it holds a lot. I have my Christmas tree up there which is really heavy plus some luggage and 2 bikes.

Great for storage of boxes/bins, ladder, & bikes. The wood shelf part could be more durable because they sag a little bit from the weight.
