Super precision Grade 5  silicon nitride balls reduce friction by approximately 10% over steel balls and require less lubricant, reducing losses from lubricant drag.  These ceramic bearings are stiffer than steel bearings balls and weigh less.

Very satisfied with these ceramic balls.
I have been using them on my road bike for more than a year now. The wheel are still turning so smoothly. No degradation in performance. Do not have to worry too much about cycling in rain. Price of these ceramic balls is so inviting to change the balls in bearings wherever I can.
