Catskill Craftsmen Bookmaster Rack with Tilted Shelves, Walnut Stained Oak Grain

Very attractive, real hardwood, piece of furniture. Looks good in the living room, as well as a library. Good value, but allow couple hours to assemble. Sturdy, and very good craftsmanship went into it.

This item, once assembled, is sturdy and functional,but getting it assembled is a real chore. What the website description does not say is that it takes two people to assemble this small item and that it involves a trick that the ridiculously cyptic assembly instructions do not describe. I've assembled many items of Ikea furniture myself using only their instructions; this time I had to hire a handyman to help. His comment: "this is the dumbest system I've seen." If you are looking for a similar item, I would try a different manufacturer.

Nice and well built

I bought and assembled this bookcase about two years ago. It is loaded with heavy books and shows no warping/sagging. It's a great case designed for shipping. I built a similar case using mortise and tenon, and this is a very solid design. I would definitely buy it again. The birch stain is a little muddy compared to the beautiful stained oak grain due to natural wood properties.

This product is made out of good solid wood. It will hold up without sagging or bowing.

Really well made, real solid wood, no particle board! My wife is using it to hold all her cookbooks and absolutely loves it... Amazon had a great price too! Pretty simple to assemble, good quality hardware.
