The zipper for these is long-ways which is weird, it makes fitting the pillow into it more of a challenge. But, these protectors are a safe alternative to the norm which is pillowcases made without our health and safety in mind.

So I really debated reviewing this item because the people there at MMO are super nice and helpful and their products are top notch, but I'm rather thrifty and 30+ dollars for a pillow case just makes me cringe. Even now I cringe. I didn't even need 2 pillow cases, but that's how they come and I guess at some point I'll find a use for it.I'm not sure how others are using these, but I found the perfect make-a-pillow case. The first standard sized pillow cases I bought to give a Pine tales latex stix pillow a real pillow protector (instead of what comes with it) and then put a pillow case over that. The MMO pillow protector was the perfect size which I was concerned about before I got it since the pillow is a weird 21 x 26" instead of 20 x26". So I actually used the product the way it was designed to be used.But I'd be surprised if people weren't using these zippered pillow protectors to make their own pillows. I did just that with my MMO toddler pillow protector. Long story short I got the wrong sized silk pillowcase and had to make a pillow that would fit it. These cases make awesome pillows and they are sturdy enough fabric that I'm not concerned about it busting open. That's all I have to say .

I ordered 4 brands of organic king pillow protectors (pillow cases numbered #1-4 in description below correspond LEFT to RIGHT in my photo).#1. Gotcha Covered was definitely heavy duty with inner waterproof liner similar to a thin vinyl table cloth (appears shinier than the outer fabric in photo). This brand probably overkill for my purposes of to prevent slow discoloration of the pillows). Smelly at first, but improved significantly after leaving opened but not completely gone after 3 days sitting out. Envelope enclosure appears to be deep enough to keep the pillow inside. 2/$53#2. Allergy Store 2/$23 kings seemed good for an allergenic barrier. Tight woven, but a little noisy, rustling when handling the pillowcase, but not as bad on a pillow. Delicate looking zipper is on the end of a sleeping surface of the pillow instead of the end, but is tucked away under a fabric seam. Zipper but tight and would probably work well to prevent allergens.#3. MakeMake Organics 2/$42 is probably my favorite quality, smooth almost sateen-like fabric. Unfortunately, I accidentally ordered the black piping around the outside which i didn't want but it was pretty sharp looking. The fabric is quiet, the lengthwise zipper seems well built and nicely tucked into the seam so it shouldn't be a bother to sleep on.#4. Whisper Organics is a tie for first with MakeMake (#3 above). Also great quality smooth almost sateen-like fabric. It is an envelope enclosure which is not my favorite type, but the depth of the envelope fold is obviously well planned as seen with in the photo (a quarter placed on the seam for scale). I like that it's off-white so it will hide the slow staining of pillows over a longer period of time maybe? Price 2/$20.99 was better than the other 3 brands, more expensive than cheaper non-organics but worth it to have and support organic products.~KATiE'D

High quality and soft plus they come in fantastic little bag. The only problem I had was they were a little smaller than I thought and my Tempurpedic pillow fits but hardly. Other than that I’m so happy- especially since there’s 0 guilt I’m harming the environment. Considering how most enviro-friendly/human healthy products sacrifice so much comfort this pillowcase is a win and the quality is superb!

I got a pillow from Sweetzzz and wanted something eco-friendly and organic to cover it. These are perfect. I love how they protect my pillow, the zipper closure and unbleached cotton. I even love the lil adorable tag and the bag it comes in. Great company. Would purchase from them again.

Fabric so soft I use it as a pillowcase, not pillow protector. This 100% organic cotton feels very satin-like.

I am really happy with my decision to purchase this body pillow cover/case. I have allergies and have been trying to find something nice that wouldn't make my issues worse. This case is the answer. The fact that it is certified organic is what grabbed my attention.So many times when you get new linens they smell bad. This is usually due to the chemicals they are either made of or that were used to produce them. Even after washing it can still be an issue. Not a problem with this body pillowcase. It simply smells like cotton! It's packed in a nice little reusable cotton bag.I've used it for a few nights now and I love, love, love how soft it is. The other thing I am really impressed with is how easy it is to put on your pillow. No more reverse-peeling your pillow like a banana just to put the case on. The cleverly hidden zipper runs the length of the pillow. It is nicely camouflaged under the decorative piping and it doesn't poke your skin during the night like some do.I highly recommend these cases. I'm planning on outfitting all of the pillows in our home with them!

These were thick fabric. Craftsmanship around the zipper sewing could be better, but if they are beginner sewers this will get better with time. I washed once in non-toxic detergent (Biokleen) dried with NO toxic fabric softener, just wool dryer balls, and they came out perfect. I like that they have a little room in them for shrinkage and extra fluffy pillows. This is nice especially for our King size pillows. I would definitely like these for body pillow covers also. Body Pillow cases would be nice as they are hard to come by in cotton or organic. It is disappointing not made in America; made in India, but at least not China.

Don’t hesitate to buy these zippered pillow cases. They are beautifully made and the organic cotton is super soft.

I have other organic cotton body pillowcases I love but the zippers were starting to go, so I gave this one a try as the shipping was faster. I will say that the zipper design of this case makes it FAR easier to put on the pillow, but it is scratchy and every single piece of lint and cat hair sticks to this and it looks gross.
