Eek not for me
I'm not panning this for the taste, although that is totally what I do not like about it. I drink collagen peptides in my coffee every morning but I also add half & half and plenty of sweetener, so I'm not a black coffee drinker. No way I'd count off for that. Nor am I normally an iced coffee drinker, but I've made it before with my own coffee and with about half almond milk or regular milk, sweetener and ice, you have a drinkable energy product that I have felt comfortable putting in my young adult son's hands. I am NOT a fan of the canned energy drinks, so I think this would be more acceptable for an energy boost, since it is a more typical amount of caffeine, buffered by some sort of macronutrient. I like the idea very much and appreciate that this product is available. So.. TLDR: dose it up with some creamer and sweet stuff and it could come in really handy for traveling, hiking, camping, etc....Edit: I shared one with a drinker of black coffee and she said it tastes bad too. I just don’t think these are drinkable for most people.

Acceptable if You Can Get Past the Odd Taste
I love cold brew coffee. I like hot coffee also, but since I prefer cold beverages to hot beverage, the rise in popularity of cold brewed coffee has been a welcome occurrence. I’m aware that most cold brew coffee is completely devoid of nutritional value, but there are exceptions and one of them isFoundation Fitness Cold Brew Coffee with Collagen Protein. With this cold brew coffee beverage, consumers get a product that contains a full 20 grams of protein with no sugar and only 80 calories per can. There are no artificial flavors and the addition of whey protein isolate is responsible for the high protein content. This makes Foundation Fitness Cold Brew Coffee a good beverage choice for athletes looking for some post- workout refreshment.I like that there is actual nutrition in this beverages because this is something most cold brewed coffee lacks. But where this product comes up short is in the taste department. It doesn’t come close in flavor to the best tasting cold brews out there and you can definitely tell there is something out of the ordinary in the ingredients. The collagen is, of course, the extra- ordinary ingredient and it doesn’t impart the best of flavors. Still, it isn’t bad and not enough to make me gag or anything like that.Cold brew is one of my favorite drinks and Foundation Fitness Cold Brew Coffee with Collagen Protein is a good drink for those who want a boost of energy and added protein to their coffee beverage. The flavor isn’t the greatest and some may be tempted to add cream, sugar, or other additives to improve the taste. I don’t want to do that because I prefer my cold brew in its raw, unadulterated form and because I don’t want to add calories or sugar. So, while this product can’t compare in taste to the better cold brews on the market, the high dose of protein and lack of sugar and calories are enough to earn it a passing grade.

I don't like the taste
I am low carb / no sugar. I typically alternate between black coffee and coffee with a splash of heavy cream. I don't use artificial sweeteners in my coffee. So, I am used to unsweetened coffee. I just do not love the taste of these Fitness Cold Brew. I can drink most of one if I really have to, but I prefer just regular black coffee. At the current price, they are approximately $3.17 each. This is way more than I would pay for coffee. I do purchase separate collagen supplements, so maybe that combination would help to justify the cost if I did like them. All the same, I am happy that I don't.What I do like are the clean ingredients, the lack of sugar and sweeteners, and the collagen. The drinks are 100% Arabica coffee, so they are made with great coffee. I guess it is the collagen that makes the flavor too weird for me. It is very bitter and undesirable in my opinion. I have a hard time getting through them. I will not purchase more.

Coffee doesn't hide the collagen taste, and they don't disclose the source of the collagen
My biggest issue with this product is that they don't disclose where the collagen comes from (at least not as I write this). Is it from plants or animals, and if animals, which ones? I'm guessing it's from animals (probably beef) because they don't claim that the product is vegan or vegetarian. My other issue is the taste. It's not great. To be fair, it's not horrible either, but it's not great. There's a distinct collagen taste to it even with the coffee. It's black coffee with collagen added, and it tastes like it. I don't know what the "natural flavor" is, but it's not doing much, IMO. The acidity does seem lower, though, which is in line with it being cold brewed. At almost $3/can (as I write this review, anyway), this is really expensive for what you get - a mediocre tasting collagen drink with no transparency as to where the collagen comes from.I was excited to try it based on the description, but now that I have, I don't recommend it.
