I don't doubt this is very good for chains or gear teeth but it's not any good for small moving parts as it dries quickly to a very sticky thick treacle like substance, therefore sticking together smaller parts or parts moving through a snug gap. I only give it three stars because it is not stated anywhere it will dry similar to chain lube.

Effective and not overly sticky.
