No more chewed up mail.
Simple in design but very effective. One of our dogs has recently enjoyed chewing some of our post, just Tesco reward vouchers for some reason. So not wanting this to be repeated and to come home to confetti everywhere I purchased this letter catcher. It was easy to fit, can take the largest envelopes and looks the part.

Some helpful hints...
Very pleased with this product was as described. Have fixed it in place and works well. no more bending down to pick up letters and small packages from the floor. You need to be careful of what type of material you are fitting the basket into as you may need to get alternative screws, eg if its a wooden/PVC door screws will be fine, but might need some self tapping screws if it is an aluminium framed door. I would suggest trying out the height you fix it in relation to your letterbox as some larger letters can get stuck and/or crumpled if it is to high above the letter box and if too low, they can just slide over the basket. Hope this is useful to future purchasers.

Very disappointed - item not as described
Although this item arrived promptly I was very disappointed. I desperately needed a cage as my puppy keeps chewing the post. This letterbox cage was too small; not 360mm wide as advertised but 310mm. Thinking this was an error, I reordered the item making sure that I had the right size for my letter box. To my dismay the replacement was also 310mm wide.I shan't be ordering another, I'll be buying one from a retail outlet where I can measure it first!

Good product to protect door locks from access via letterbox if used with letterbox cowl.
Good, sturdy product. Does intended job of preventing access to door lock via letterbox when fitted along with letterbox cowl. It does stick out quite far though - lucky this period property has thick walls creating a deep set door. Would be better if a bit shallower though. Width and height were ideal for this door, obviously I took all measurements before purchase. Delivered quickly too. Thanks.

Just what I needed to stop the puppy chewing the post!
Found this one better than most as is definitely wide enough for the standard size letter box. Used amazon same day delivery which is a god send when I didn't want anymore post chewed into pieces. Gave 3 stars for it being easy to assemble as I have a composite door so not as easy as wood to drill into but I managed eventually. Would of been easier to have a second person to help hold it whilst assembling but my 4 year old son wasn't much use! Haven't had any post go into it yet so can't comment but it seems strong and able to carry a lot of post. Would recommend :)

Looks great!
Heavy duty product but I think a couple of fixations for the bottom would improve it's stabilisation on the door especially as these are often purchased to prevent boisterous dogs getting at the mail. The majority of these dogs will continue to bounce up & down at the cage. I also agree with a previous reviewer that the horizontal bars of the cage need to be on the outside as the letters get caught on them as they are posted. Needs a smooth slide down for best function. Overall pleased with this purchase.

Good, not great
We had become sick of our Border Collie chewing our post, so we ordered this to catch it. For the most part it does an excellent job - is very strong and well built. However a couple of small things- It could do with another screw fitting on the bottom as it can sometimes come away from the door and letter fall out as well as putting stress on the two screws. It could maybe also do with being a bit wider (from were attaches to the door to the side facing you. It means that things like magazines or letters that don't really bend don't quite go in and either sit on top of the tray or fall out onto the floor.

Ok but no perfect
There’s a fatal flaw with this otherwise well made product in that the vertical bars are on the outside of the basket and the horizontal bars are inside, thus often preventing letters from falling smoothly to the bottom of the basket and causing others to slide above them. The simple solution would be to reverse the design.
