Tiny Hands and Only a Red Second Hand
Seems like a decent clock movement and it assembled easily. I don't think the description makes it clear about the length of the hands. They are much too tiny for my clock. Note the photo with the hands attached and how they are barely bigger than the case ... These are about the size of a travel alarm. Also, not all clocks look good with a red second hand and a choice between red and black would have been nice. This one is going in the trash and I ordered the other one on Amazon that has multiple sets of hands.

Hour hand was very difficult to install.
Hour hand was very difficult to install. I had to use a socket so I could push it evenly down on the shaft. Even with the socket, the hour had was deformed. It seems to be keeping good time. They should offer the option for hands of different lengths.

Worked great on Fiesta Ware clock
Works great-just wish the hour hand was a bit longer.

Easy to install and accurate
I bought this to replace an old clock motor that was no longer keeping time. It has standard dimensions and I was able to reuse the old clock hands. I would have replaced the latter, but I couldn't find the exact style I was looking for. Unlike the old movement, this one comes with a rubber washer which goes between the motor and the back of the clock face. This makes the movement's "ticking" sound much quieter and helps keep the motor from loosening from the clock face over time. When purchasing, make sure the threaded shaft that fits through the clock face is the right length--a little too long is better than too short!

Surprisingly unreliable Quartz Q-80 movement by Quartex
Purchased exact replacement Quartex Q-80, to replace same model movement that had been in service for 6+ years, featuring 1/2" thickness & 15/16" Hand Shaft Length. Item arrived quickly with very good threaded shaft protective cap in place to prevent shipping damage. Decided to run this new movement with included new hands installed for 24 hours prior to installing into clock case; just to make sure it wasn't going to be too noisy. Of interest, the supplied hour hand, which is a press-on interference style fit, was undersized and did NOT fit onto the new movement's hand shaft, so the old movement's hands were re-installed and slipped on nicely. Curiously, the new minute hand and new seconds hand from the new Q-80 movement fit without a problem, but for uniformity of style, the three old hands were re-used. With a brand new Duracell AA cell installed, the new Quartex Q-80 clock movement was placed flat on its back (horizontal position) and it started immediately, ran for 18 seconds, and stopped. No hand interference was observed, with at least 1/8" inch clearance between hands noted. The new AA cell was removed, and re-installed and the movement ran for one minute and 35 seconds...and stalled again (the seconds hand was not moving and no audible "clicking" was observed). Next, a new, verified 1.55 VDC, AA Duracell Alkaline battery was installed into the new Quartex Q-80 clock movement and the movement placed into the normal (vertical position), hands still installed. The movement then ran for 15 seconds and stopped. No clicking, no second hand pulsing. the battery was removed and reinstalled this time running for only 37 seconds prior to stopping again. As a final check, no binding or drag was noted when turning the rear adjusting wheel, and no binding or interference was detected visually when looking down into the hand shaft end of the movement. The final test was to run the movement with just the seconds hand installed. Two stalls occurred within 60 seconds. This appears to be an Infant mortality issue. Have returned unit to Amazon within 3 days of delivery. Replacement Quartex Q-80 movement #2 is now on order...lighting sage and whispering low voltage incantations might help...or not. Possibly just bad timing. Weatherbug.

1/2 " shaft for thicker backing/face plate clocks
This is the second brand of repair kit that I bought to try and so far it's working as advertised, This unit does make a faint ticking noise. The main difference is that the shaft is about 1/2" long so it can be used in clocks that have a thicker backing and/or face to go through, perhaps ones with a wooden back or face. Instructions were straight forward ( hands are delicate as per usual) and it was shipped from the U.S,A, So far it's working fine.

Great Product!
This product is remarkably easy to assemble, and a single AA battery made an old clock run like new! The second hand was an added bonus. The instructions are clear and concise, and the product arrived on time and with plenty of communication along the way.

A parfaitement fait le travail. Moins cher que d'acheter une nouvelle horloge complète.
