Continuous Sweep Mini Quartz Movement - Medium Shaft

I bought two of these for two different clocks and one always seems to run slow. But the other one is fantastic! I'm extremely happy with it.UPDATE 7/15/2015: The one I kept is no longer impressing me. The hands are very flimsy and don't seem to fit exactly right, so they get stuck on one another and then I don't know the time anymore. I'm not going to dock stars because I can't be sure this wasn't user error somehow, but I'm definitely not as pleased as I was initially, because the clock on which I replaced the movement used to work—I just didn't like the ticking sound. I would take the ticking sound over not telling time!

The hands are small! When they said medium, they really meant a stand clock that's about 4 inches. Do not buy this version for hanging clocks (8inches +)On the bright side, my package came with loads of extras to make things fit. Extra nuts, washers, etc , and a bit of pliers manipulation worked it all with other clock parts.

I like that this is a sweeping motion clock and it doesn't make ticking noise. It was easy to assemble but the hands were slightly bent when they arrived. I wish there was an option to choose different hands.

Anyone who has a cat knows how inquisitive they can be. For the past year, I have had the battery removed from my clock on the kitchen wall because our Persian cat was obsessed with the ticking sound and the movement of the second hand and was constantly trying to climb the wall to get to it. I finally found these continuous sweep movements and purchased a couple of them. Replacing the old movement with the new one is simple and they even come with a solid nut to place on the movement should you (for whatever reason) not want a second hand. Problem solved! Other than our cat curiously looking at the clock (probably because she saw me working on it) things are back to normal. The movement is perfectly quiet and accurate. I will buy more to replace the old movements in my other clocks. They're a great deal.

Didn’t work. Attempted to line up minute hand to 12 before assembling and heard a bad grinding sound. Inserted the second hand, and a battery to find out it’s not working at all. Not worth the time and effort to return.

Product works exactly as described, and arrived quickly. As expected, the movement is silent, which is great. The hands are a little flimsy, but the low price certainly justifies that. Would buy again if I needed another.

I wish the hands were a little bigger, but it keeps time well enough and is very quiet.

Worked fine for a day, then began to get progressively louder. If it's an expensive clock you're trying to tone down, take it to a clock shop for help.
