I was diagnosed with severe iron deficiency. It didn’t have any stomach discomfort which was amazing. It has no taste so don’t worry about a metallic taste. I didn’t experience major side effects other than mild constipation.

This is a great iron supplement. It works very well, I would say it is probably one of the best. It has really helped my husband .

This is an excellent source of iron. Pricey but worth it. No digestive problems. The only other brand that's comparable in terms of tolerance is Mega Food, but that's not heme iron so it's not as well absorbed by the body. Colorado Labs should offer a discount from time to time.

My doctor prescribed 1 a day for 6 weeks to increase my iron levels. There was improvement but still not to normal levels, which is the way of iron rebuilding. I've increased to 3 a day and will retest in another 6 weeks. No GI upset and I have taken it on an empty stomach and with food.

Apparently your total iron can look normal, but your ferritin can be low. My doctor recommended this and I took it daily for a month. Weirdly, my ferritin tested *lower*. My GP suggested taking it every other day instead and within two months my ferritin has edged back up into the normal range.

Used it for raising ferritin levels. Works way better than non heme supplements hence cheaper in the long run.
