I bought this cane as an aid for my hip replacement. I am not a large person. This cane is more stable than a standard cane because of it's 4 rubber flaps that expand on pressure. However the rubber flaps are small and the cane falls over when it is free standing unless you are very careful about positioning it.Also, very a disturbing aspect is the rubber base came undone while I was walking. It seems it unscrews. Make sure when the cane arrives, that you are certain the base is firmly attached. I now check it often. The handle isn't padded but it actually is comfortable, ergonomically shaped to fit your right or left hand, depending on which cane you purchase.

I see were one customer says the base becomes unscrewed this was 2015..just received mine I can not see were it can come unscrewed... in fact looks like it is molded to the shaft. I would like to know if it is or not as it can be dangerous. There was no information with this item but it does look like there should have been when you are looking up the item. If the bottom is not molded to the shaft and becomes loose and there is no mention or caution notice that it can.... Amazon is opened to lawsuits, this company is a subsidiary of Amazon.

Fantastic cane - love the swivel base and handle fits hand very comfortably. Easy to adjust the height. Very well made and high quality materials. I was in an accident last fall and had to have my hip replaced as a result. This cane made recovery much easier. I wanted to buy the right hand version just in case I need it in the future but it has not been available for months. Hope it can be purchased in the future.This cane is great!! Highly recommend.

this is a well made cane.Previously I had ordered another Not to named. I took one look at it and both my wife and I yelled almost simultaniosly Good Grief send it back, I ordered a new cane from Gravity mobility. It looks like a Cadillac version of the Hurry cane. I really like it .although you can only use it for one hand left or right. But then if I have to use a cane for two hands Ill get a walker.I always said "it only costs a few bucks more to go first class", In this case it really did

The gravity cane is turning out to be the perfect solution to a developing problem of nerve damage in my left hand. I had been having more problems with arthritis and putting more pressure on my left cane hand In order to get around. My hand and arm were going numb and then miserable pins and needles sensations would follow. The gravity cane has my hand In a totally different position, and it really is helping! Thanks!

Warning! This cane is dangerous and needs to be recalled! The little hard-rubber feet grip well on rugs, grass, cement walkways and asphalt driveways, and when walk straight ahead, even on slippery surfaces. But if your change your direction by about 45 degrees, and the cane tilts a bit, the hard, smooth plastic in between the rubber feet is all that contacts the surface. The cane can completely loose its grip on the slippery surfaces of hardwood floors, ceramic or composite tiled floors. It can be a struggle to maintain one's balance. People are going to fall, incurring potentially serious injuries.Please return your canes before you break a hip or arm in a fall!

Bought this cane for use after TKR - it felt stable and I liked the special handle for left hand. Although I only used it for a few days, I will keep it for future use if needed

I get asked about this walking cane everywhere I go because of the design. Bought left and right because of surgeries on each leg. The design helps because I know that the cane won't fall over and provides me with good stability when I am walking. The grip is good too - less pressure on my wrists and hands. A very good purchase.
