Sangean DT-400W AM/FM Digital Weather Alert Pocket Radio

As Sourav said in the review, he is correct. It's not cheap chinese product. The reception is excellent and sound quality is awesome. I checked with FM, AM as well both works absolutely fantastic. WX is not useful in India. It's very small in size and compact. I recommend this product for those who like to listen radio, don't buy any other brand. Just go for it !!!Before buying, I searched a lot in google and in youtube which one to buy. Finally I found this is the perfect pocket size radio and no tension of antenna one of the major plus point of this radio. Initially, i felt it's expensive but once i had it in my hand. I felt it's long lasting quality in it.Lock button, LCD display (Good quality and durable), Speaker, Clock, Removable Belt Clip (very sturdy), 19 Random Presets, 90 minutes auto shutoff, Digital AM/FM tunner really helps to lock perfect radio stations. The biggest advantage i feel is it's not having an telescopic antenna which usually comes with all other radios. A headphone jack works as an antenna, is awesome!!!Now, I will tell you the dimensions of this Sangean-DT400W Radio: 2.5 inches width, 4.25 inches in height and thickness 1 inch. Including battery the weight is around 155 grams.Programming is dam easy in it. Once we set it as My favorites, no need to tune it again and again.So far I have used panasonic, sony and philips radio's but the quality of sound and reception in SANGEAN DT-400W is not comparable to any other brands. A very high build quality is fantastic in my opinion.

Pros:Thanks God, this is not a chinese product, as the package showed and the finish showed, its made in USA or some developed country.There's no "made in ....." engraving or print.The reception is excellent and the size is a bit smallish, a pocket radio. In India the weather alert channel (WX) is useless and AM too is not very useful, till now I've not tuned any AM channels.Battery life is always visible and you won't be caught unawares. FM reception is exceptional, almost Hiss-less I should say, but, closer to other electronic items, e.g PC etc. it picks up some disturbances. The smaller cord - wire antenna is not useful, the head-phone cum antenna is what you will be forced to use. The best feature is the option for switching into Speaker or Head phone mode is very easy. Volume as compared with its size is really what beats all others, huge volume, actually I've been listening at 1/20th the max. volume which provides very clear sound.Volume control on top, as compared to the side, is very useful.Off indication (LCD) and On indicaton (tiny electric bulb) are very useful. Locking facility is not that frequently used.Pocket holder/hanger is useful.90 min. off timer is useful it save battery, but a botheration too, since, you have to put the set on again.About the seller:Product is as per photo shown in ad., delivery was a little late but acceptable, packaging was excellent, product was sent in the original package.This is one purchase on net, where I got exactly what was advertised.Cons:Pre-setting of channel into memory and changing those is a bit tricky, you would take a few days to muster.The buzz adjustment may not be very useful in FM channel, as I found not much difference in buzz with the switch on.Battery consumption is average, not very low.

Iwill not recommend this to buy in kerala.other Indian radios are far better in sound. quality and reception please not buy it .wasted my money.I bought another brand.
