Cofair PLKIT Tite Seal EPDM Pond Liner Repair Kit

So this was an easy fix for a big problem in my pond. If I had only known so, I would’ve fixed my pond a lot sooner. A stupid deer fell in my 6x10 ft pond and left several antler punctures in my liner. Each hole was between 1/2” and 2” in diameter. This kit came with enough patch to fix every hole with plenty left for a few more deer to fall in (but let’s hope they don’t!). Here’s my tips, not in order that you’ll need them, but in the order my brain comes up with them so don’t use this as a step system haha. My #1 tip taken from another reviewer that worked really well is to cut the patch in a circle shape to cover your hole. This allows for no possible lifting corners. Though honestly, this is about fool proof. The seal is so good that even with corners nothing should lift. #2 locate all your holes and do them all at once. The alcohol pad isn’t big and can’t be reused so if you find another hole the next day you have to clean it another way like I did- which was basically with a paper towel and alcohol. No big deal but good to note. #3 use the scrub pad and remove all the gunk till your down bare liner. I wouldn’t trust a Seal over algae. 4. Use the roller they give you. It seem worthless but it does work #5 I second someone else saying let the patch warm up in the sun a little. The patch I applied on the hot day adhered faster than the one I did on the cool day. Note, the one I applied on the cooler day DID adhere but it didn’t seem like it wanted to at first and I just kept pressing and rolling and it worked and was solid. Great value for little cost too.

I struggled with a tear at the top of my liner since last year. This product took care of the tear. Easy to apply. You can feel the difference when it's applied as opposed to the rolls of "waterproof" tape I've tried several times. I definitely recommend this patch.

I bought to repair holes in in ground vinyl liner in 25k gallon pool. Found 13 holes and repaired all. Had material left over. Easy to use. At times the patch did not adhere completely and there were wrinkles. I will have to replace those at some point. I do recommend this product. I would be careful when removing bubbles that you do t remove too much glue. Maybe that’s issue with wrinkles in some patches. The water fill valve has stopped filling 24/7 and my water use in which I check online has gone to zero overnight. So I’m very happy.

I discovered a 7 inch tear in the wall of my rubber lined fish pond and ordered this kit to repair it. It has everything needed to make a very effective repair. I was concerned since the liner around the tear needed to be cleaned and I was worried if being submerged for 12 years and covered with algae would affect the adhesion of the patch. I dried the area, scrubbed it lightly with a plastic abrasive scouring pad and used the cleaner/prep pad included with the kit to wipe the area where the patch needed to adhere. I trimmed the large patch with scissors, peeled off the back and pressed it into place. It adhered immediately and very tightly. Be sure to get it right the first time because this patch cannot be removed or repositioned once pressed into place. I also repaired a small, pencil-sized, hole using a small cut patch and it worked equally well. I am very pleased with the result and would not hesitate to do it again.

So far I've purchased about 10 rolls of this product while assembling a new pond. I have now put four layers of plastic down and with every bit of care I'm still having leaks. I simply cannot get it to seem properly no matter what temperature I play the product in Etc. I would rate it lower than three stars except maybe there's a chance it's my particular application. But personally I would not purchase this product again. I found some tape at home depot for $10 and so far it's holding well....

I have a pond that is over 20 years old. I went a way for a month and when I came back it was fall. The pond dried up and the pump melted a hole in the liner. At first I thought the liner was fiberglass. Then after inspecting the hole I figured it was some sort of heavy black plastic. I was not really sure what I was doing when I read the instructions. I did not understand what the cleaning pad was for. I thought it was to buff up the liner to hold the patch. The cleaning pad is to simply to clean. I would have used a scotch bright or something if knew this. I cleaned the area, applied the patch and ran the roller over it. I spent all of maybe 5 minutes. Waited 2 hours and filled the pond with water. Works great. I was just making to much out of a simple repair. Great product fast and easy fix.

This “repair kit” was overpriced and didn’t last a week. I had to remove it because it did not adhere to the liner even after it was thoroughly cleaned. I patched the liner with Gorilla Tape and it is so much better.
