I have used Denosyl for years for my dog. I bumped it up to the 425 when I saw that she was needing more help. She has Doberman hepititis which is a breed specific non-contageous chronic condition. She should be dead honestly but the Denosyl helps her to stay healthy and strong and at 9 1/2 years old I'd say it's working. My dog needs this product to protect his liver from the steroids the vet. has him on. I put them in the large pill pockets, and have a dog treat in my hand for him , so he'll swallow the pills and not try to chew, then spit. They are very expensive, but what choice do I have.

Unfortunately my dog's Alt liver enzyme has continued to rise slightly even with taking the denosyl. I honestly can't blame this med for this. My dog just had surgery for removal of a.large fatty cyst and dental care. After these surgical areas heal up then we xan see if the liver enzymes.improve. I think my dog had other issues that needed to get fixed first before we xan give the denosyl a fair chance.
